In no way shape or form would I ever want to risk this, but it would be pretty awesome to watch Tkachuk raise a cup in Edmonton. People would lose their GD minds up there. It would be glorious.

LOL...Fox never even tried to play a game for the franchise, not even for the AHL team.
Tkachuk was a warrior for years, and probably would have stayed if Gaudreau stayed.
But yeah, they're the same. Nice false equivalency.

Flames spent a sixth overall on Tkachuck and developed him...what a great guy to bail in his prime

Down 3-2 Trouba guarantees win, and Rangers take game 7.

Rangers in 7. Every game goes to triple OT. Everyone is admitted to the hospital by the end of it.

From the moment Tkachuk signed his last deal with the Flames, he was setting up his departure a year early. He made a power move to attempt to be captain the season earlier, and when that was rebuffed, he was gone as soon as he could and the Flames knew it too.
He slides under the outrage radar becuase people were still upset at Gaudreau, who clunkily tried to make a last ditch effort to stay here, but his promise to his family couldn't have been overturned.
Gaudreau going had zero effect though.
Rangers in 6 or 7 and New York will hate Tkachuk by the end of game 2.
Bennett will be hunting for Trouba and Trouba will fully be expecting it.

Nothing more satisfying than seeing Tkachuk cry. And Maurice's smug press conferences coming to an end. I love Barkov, so it's a shame he's among chumps.

Chucky versus Fox
Don’t care for either player, but in my mind the Rangers are the lesser of two evils.

Bennett vs. Trouba. Who injures the other first with a borderline dirty hit?

This is in no way meant as a player-to-player comparison, but one of the things I will never forgive the hockey gods for is robbing the world of "Unstoppable Force vs Immovable Object."
If only Forsberg's spleen hadn't blown up in Game 7 of the Conference Finals, what a battle it would've been to see him vs Stevens for the Cup.
