Calgary #Flames 1st rounder & Regina Pats star Morgan Klimchuk makes his season debut tonight in #yql against the @WHLHurricanes.
Nice hatty. He's definitely a piece the Flames need. A big winger who mixes it up, causes trouble, and loves to park himself in front of the crease. He looks to be a great pick and a missing piece for the Flames.

Smith is starting to remind me a tad of Chris Simon. Limited skill, but it's there. A big mean SOB who will mix it up but might get you 15-20 goals and 40 points on a good year, not every year but could happen. Great option on the 3rd line.

Ferland has reminded me lots of Simon as well. I always think players of this ilk are extremely valuable to teams. Hope they both work out (and if they do, they will both be huge fan favorites).

Seriously guys, I am so happy Flames got him. I started following him in the lead up to the draft was worried a rival would get him first. He'll be a deadly 3-4 line guy on a contending Flames team who will get 2nd unit PP time.
And he'll be a skilled cop to police the ice for Flames super stars.
Hunter Smith has scored another goal as Oshawa and North Bay are tied 1-1 midway through the game. Seems to have a good game according to a couple of tweets from Pronman:

In OSH-NB strong firsts for Paul/Lindberg-OTT, Wood-COL, Smith-CGY, Dal Colle-NYI. Flashes from Liberati-VAN.

Dal Colle, Cassels and Smith played a 2.5 minute shift, staying on for continuous power plays.
