Going to be one hell of a young team in Adirondack next season. There are going to be so many prospects under contract down there that I don't see management bringing in many (if any at all) 25+ AHL ringers to fill out the roster.
Good chance one or two of these guys make the team out of camp, and there will be call ups all throughout the year which may result in a player or two sticking permanently, but here is the main building blocks for the farm team next season, as of right now:
1. Gaudreau (20)*
2. Baertschi (21)
3. Reinhart (22)
4. Granlund (21)
5. Knight (23)
6. Ferland (22)
7. Agostino (22)*
8. Hanowski (23)
9. Arnold (22)*
10. Poirier (19)*
11. Vanbrabant (22)*
12. Wolf (24)*
13. Jooris (23)
14. Elson (21)
1. Wotherspoon (21)
2. Cundari (24)
3. Sieloff (20)*
4. Acolatse (23)
5. Kulak (20)*
6. Culkin (20)*
7. Ramage (23)
8. Roy (19)* -> NOT CURRENTLY SIGNED
1. Ortio (23)
2. Thiessen (28)
(* denotes that player would be an AHL rookie)
Have we ever iced a farm team completely made up legitimate prospects on ELC's before?
...because other than Thiessen, that's exactly what the above is......23 prospects on ELC's making up a full AHL roster with everybody healthy.
Also 9 potential AHL rookies too. Pretty crazy stuff IMO.
1. Would that team be any good?
2. Will they bring in any "Jones'", "Street's", "Kolanos'" type players on NHL two ways?
3. Will they bring in any "Arsene's", "Locke's", "Olsen's" on AHL deals?
1. Baertschi - Granlund - Reinhart
2. Gaudreau - Knight - Ferland
3. Agostino - Arnold - Poirier
4. Wolf - Jooris - Hanowski
BVB, Elson
1. Wotherspoon - Acolatse
2. Cundari - Sieloff
3. Kulak - Ramage
Culkin, Roy
1. Ortio
2. Thiessen

1. Would that team be any good?
Lots of this lineup are going to be players that aren't familiar with each other or with the AHL style. Throw in the fact that we have a new coach with a different system that any of the returning players would know, I think we will struggle in the first few months. I don't have any high expectations for this team because it will be such a big adjustment year, both for the AHL and NHL Flames. Alot of the success depends on whether the team is going to have time to have chemistry together or if we will have a ton of callups. The Heat were good when they were able to keep the core of the team together. When the Flames hit injury problems and we had callups and random signings, we weren't any good.
2. Will they bring in any "Jones'", "Street's", "Kolanos'" type players on NHL two ways?
I think our Street and Jones players are now Reinhart and Granlund. Strong AHL players with a taste of the NHL. I think the torch has been passed to these two to be those in between sorts of players.
3. Will they bring in any "Arsene's", "Locke's", "Olsen's" on AHL deals?
They have to. We have to bring in some "old guys" and some guys who won't move from the AHL to stabilize the team. I mean look at the ages on the roster. With the exception of Thiessen who was signed today, the oldest in the group is 24. It's a bunch of guys in their early 20's. Not saying that it is impossible for one of them to step up into a leadership role or the role of room stabilizer, but I think it is a job better suited for Olson or someone with a little more life experience and room experience. And Olson from what I've read would have been captain if Arsene had not come onto the team . I would also like to see Locke and Miller brought back. I think they were pivotal in firing up the likes of Knight and Baertschi and exactly the sort of thing we need to have with our prospects.

I hope they don't bring in older guys. Run with this crew, plenty of skill and ability.

It's inevitable that they will though simply from a leadership perspective. Every team also likes to have that AHL sniper to center the scoring (i.e., Aucoin, Lerg, Mancari, etc.).
On defense, injuries seem to happen weekly in the AHL, so bringing in a couple of sturdy blueliners is a good idea. For the most part, it's rare that a coach throws someone like Culkin, Kulak, and Roy onto the blueline full-time. Generally they'll play 2/3rds of the games to get a feel for the next level and do tons of video work during that time. That's when guys like Arsene come in and fill holes.
Side note: I thought they had signed Roy recently?

The Flames offered him that "Bona Fide" contract offer at the beginning of June. I would think it's safe to assume he would have signed it.

I'm pretty sure I saw on twitter he didn't sign it which is common with these contract offers.

Someone was assuming he didn't as no announcement was made. Nothing official has been stated.

They would announce a signing, no matter how small. Also, he isn't on the Flames contract chart: http://flames.nhl.com/club/page.htm?id=97763
Players don't typically sign their bona fide offers because they're basically a bare minimum contract offer that's only there for a team to show that they still have interest in keeping the player's rights for another year.

The Heat dressed something like 56 players last year, didn't they?
When the schedule includes multiple stints of 3 games in 3 days, and when you have a bunch of AHL rookies that aren't used to playing 80 pro games, you need LOTS of bodies.
And you need some vets

First AHL signing that I know of....
Mathieu Tousignant - C
AHL PAGE
Nice depth signing, and seems like a guy that come up to the Addy Flames and not look out of place but could also go down to the Aces and be a strong player for them, which I'm sure they'll like.

Don't forget Garnet Hathaway has a valid AHL contract with the Flames for next season too.

Also, Austin Carroll is going to be on the team as well I suspect. At least there's a bit of a mixture of toughness with Tousignant, Hathaway and Carroll. Without these guys, that Addy lineup looks all skill.

I saw this on Twitter yesterday, but haven't seen it posted here yet. It looks like they've lost the franchise player...

I like it to, but Klimchuk will be back in the DUB if he doesn't make the NHL squad, which he likely won't. (Kanzig too)
EDIT: Just saw Bennett as well, this must be a future Calgary Flames mock up or something? If so, why is Thiessen the back up? Haha

Yeah, Hayes isn't even property of the organization and I don't think Bennett is even eligible to play in the A this season.
But a year from now... that's the team they could possibly ice. You'd be hard-pressed to find a better-looking roster of prospects than that anywhere.

A full roster of legitimate prospects in the AHL. Is such a thing actually possible?
One problem is that Kanzig, Bennett, and Klimchuk can't play in the AHL this season.
Also, I suspect that Wotherspoon, and at least two of Baertschi, Granlund, Gaudreau, and Reinhart will spend the bulk of the season in Calgary.
