Pretty good prospect

Curious if they still move Kevin Kiermaier and potentially Chad Green

Then hear the Jays GM explain the moves.

Interesting move for the Pirates. They're in the thick of things but a player like IKF is hardly the gamebreaker they may need. Seems like a great return from what I've been reading though.

The retool this offseason is going to be bonkers.

If we can move Kiermaier without adding too much cash, I think we’ll be under the CBT.

Sounds like another trade is occuring

The Dodgers are acquiring Kevin Kiermaier from the Blue Jays, reports Robert Murray of FanSided (X link).

Bananas. Gives KK a shot to win it in his last year.

I'm not a Jays fan, but I would assume most of their fans should be happy with what they've done the past few days. Especially with the financial flexibility they've given themselves moving into the off-season.

Yarbrough coming back in the KK trade apparently.

Makes sense. That trade should get the Jays under the luxury tax threshold and Yarbrough can eat some innings for the rest of the year.

Happy that KK gets to go to a contender too

They have done a really good job, by my account they have traded 8 players

Many of which are expired contracts.

Gone,

Richards, Jansen, Kikuchi, Garcia, Pearson, Isiah Kiner-Falefa, Kiermaier and Turner

The Los Angeles Dodgers have reportedly acquired four-time Gold Glove winning outfielder Kevin Kiermaier from the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for left-hander Ryan Yarbrough, sources told FanSided's Robert Murray.

Yep, they traded away every pending free agent (but will get one back with Yarbrough) and also dealt IKF and Pearson who weren't FA's

Yarbrough was an absolute Jay killer when he played for the Rays.

Rogers likely won't want a long rebuild, so who are the top free agents they could target...

OF) Soto, Santander, O'Neill (also a Canadian)
3B) Bregman
1B) Alonso , Walker
2B) Torres
SS) Adames
SP) Burnes, Fried, Bieber

Seems like a much deeper free agent class than last season, so the improved financial flexibility will be beneficial for the Jays.

At this point though I think they need to re-sign Vlad.

He's the only potential super star on that roster even if he hasn't brought that consistently

It’s a nice problem to have as he’s turned it around this year but you also have to be very mindful of his down seasons and know he’s not a superstar. So to pay him $30M for 7 years or whatever he demands, is a pretty substantial risk. Who would’ve thought Springer, fit as a fiddle, would falter so quickly? I see the marketing aspect of needing to sign Vlad and Bo, but to me Bo has been the more consistent guy throughout. You just can’t offer either the world. If they demand ten year $35M deals, to me you deal them both. Vlad has them bend over because of his resurgence but he has to be reasonable too.

Youve trotted out hes not a super star a few times, but respectfully how can you say that? Firstly he's got the fan fare. Even his "down seasons" are statistically well above average. He was an MVP runner up already and hes on his 6th season and only 25 years old. Theres guys his age still considered prospects LOL
