This team shouldn’t be buying this year. If someone offers a huge deal for Ray or Semien, they should consider it unless they are willing to pay both of them big dollars in the off season.

I say at the very least give them Qualifying Offers, then if they sign for another team we get two more draft picks. I think Semien should be priority number one for re-signing.

I am more than certain that third time through the order penalty is negated when your bullpen is truly awful. Just keep your starter in for 100+ pitches no matter what.

I mean there is an argument to be made there. Stripling was at 79 pitches and was pitching decent. Could have easily left him in to see if he could get through another one. But that's not Montoyo's style. So instead we watch a game slip away and the Jays burn through all their arms before a 4 game series against the Sox.

The team just really struggles when they need clutch at bats.

Biggio and Grichuk have been truly horrific in those situations this year. But yeah there is a reason the Jays are like #1 in offensive stats innings 1-6 and 20th 7th on.

It's funny to contrast how anti-clutch the Jays are compared to the RedSox. Who scored 5 in the bottom of 8, after being no hit all game, to win 5-4.

Yeah just not recall seeing a team with this much hitting talent but this bad hitting approach. Truly an odd combination but it is not helping the record. Hope top of the lineup can come up clutch in the ninth here.

This team really needs to figure out a better approach with RISP. They may lead the league in avg. in that stat overall. But that's because when it rains it pours and they put up 10. In these close games they are just having bad at-bat after bad at-bat.

And as soon as I say that Bo hit's a 2 out 2 run bomb lol.

Vladdy needs to learn to lay off the change up, it has really cooled him off. And withouta hot Vladdy, they have no chance.
