Are they sure it's a piece of rock? a few years ago they thought we caught another moon only to discover it an upper stage of a rocket fired in the 60's

Didn't see a post on this but it's fascinating.

Building blocks of life found in returned samples from asteroid Bennu including 14 of the 20 amino acids that life on Earth uses to build proteins and all four of the ring-shaped molecules that make up DNA and RNA.

Scientists have been saying for a long time that earth was likely seeded with life from comets and asteroids, it seems they are getting closer to be proven right.

Will there ever be a way to prove it came from asteroids, and isn't just an emergent event when conditions allow it?

I think what they're saying is early earth was just a ball of lava and fire, after it cooled life and water had to come from somewhere.

I’ve been watching videos of Komodo dragons. Those animals are awesome. They swallow whole goats and other medium-sized critters—horns, hooves and all.
