No, that would have made for a more interesting story. Instead it's another lame rehash of a society who believes the tech keeping them alive is made by gods that require human(?-whatever they look like people) sacrifice, and it's failing, and Michael to the rescue with some lame moralizing thrown in.

Oh great, sounds lovely, might have to have several shots of Jack if I'm going to watch it.
For a last season of a show, it sure seems flat and repetative, the only thing we're missing is a baby's temper tantrum causing the destruction of the universe (And now that I've said that out loud, I've really realized that the Discovery writers are insane)

This is why relativity is important though. Does a borg cube depreciate at the same rate if it's stationary vs if it's travelling at 800 times the speed of light?

The funny part is...to a culture thats never seen that? I'm not saying it would work, but the reaction would at least be interesting.

I think as long as the Cube was in Space and operative then the depreciation values would be the same, its all about estimating useful life of an asset.
Borg Taxes...now theres a wild thought. Its like counter-intuitive to the entire idea.
Although I kind of like the idea of a show around me, the last Accountant in the Federation.

Ah yes! But other cultures do!
An office in Sub-Basement C...it could be a good show.

But in who's frame of reference does the value accrue? The cube travelling or the stationary accountant at unimatrix 0?
