I got a subscription pretty much entirely because of Fahrenthold's work and me not wanting to miss any of it. Because even when the election is over, you know there's going to be more to come. And overall it seems their quality has gone up quite a bit since Bezos bought the paper, apparently because he's pumping resources back into the newsroom after years of cuts.

He is very pedantic on all his fact checks. Which I think is a good thing as he doesn't add his own bias of if something is false and significant or if its misleading. He only evaluates whether the statement is true or not and lets the reader decide the importance.
100km means a lot more there than it does here with regards to borders.
Johnson is of course crying over the double standard because she gets Mosul wrong no big deal, he doesn't know where Aleppo is and everybody loses their mind.

Donald Trump's attorneys asked a U.S. judge to bar accusations about his personal conduct that have arisen during the presidential election campaign, which would include allegations of sexual misconduct, from the upcoming civil trial over Trump University.

In a court filing late on Thursday, attorneys for Trump said evidence and statements from the election campaign should be barred from trial because they could unfairly prejudice the jury. The trial is set to begin on Nov. 28.
Evidence including Trump's campaign speeches, tweets, his tax issues and controversy over his personal charity should not be considered by jurors, the filing said.
Ok that sounds a little more reasonable.

In addition to discussion about the campaign, Trump's attorneys want to place off limits at the trial any mention of the financial condition of students who signed up for the Trump University program, including claims that some are now "hardly making enough to survive" or that the program preyed on "poor people."
Trump's attorneys called the hardship claims "inflammatory" and said they were irrelevant to whether students were or were not deceived.

Trump finally going after Michelle in his speech today. She's been baiting him for a while so I guess he deserves mild credit for waiting this long. Unfortunately for him she's the most popular political figure in America so he still has no awareness.
