Better than last week but that's not saying a ton.

Really feel the big moments of seasons past is hurting the show now. The amount of quality characters is dwindling and now you're left with episodes full of tyresse and Beth and that's just not good. These new folks at the end of tonight look promising and they could be fun. I have no idea who they are but gotta figure they are popular given their grand entrance they were given.

Something I missed until they brought it up on Talking Dead; the scene where Lizzie kills the bunnies. Seems like she has a taste for killing, and it was her group that Carol found. I wonder if it will end up being revealed that Carol wasn't actually the one who killed Tyrese's girlfriend.

Yeah, never read the comics, but I got a feeling those that have know who these people are.

Just like Star Trek Into Darkness when that guy is all like "I AM....KHAAAN...dun dun dun!" which would be totally baffling and meaningless if you didn't know who that was.

I'll respectfully disagree. It was corny.

The guy on the left looked like Danny McBride. It was just a lame scene IMO.

With that siad, I'm glad Carol's back.

Last night’s episode was way better. At least there was a little bit of tension as opposed to the snore-fest last week. Seriously. My wife actually fell asleep during last week’s show, so this was definitely improvement. As few observations though:

-It drives me a little crazy that Rick’s group manages to hopelessly scatter itself to the wind after every crisis. You would think that a group organized enough to establish a leadership council and maintain a fairly well-sized community at the prison would have put together some kind of an evacuation plan or established a rendezvous point in the event that they were ever forced out. This is a group that had already been separated once when they had to abandon the farm, so you’d think they would have some kind of contingency plan, right? I mean – the Governor had already attacked the prison before and then the fences were falling in under the weight of all the zombies pushing against them, so it’s not like it would be out of the realm of possibility that something could happen that would force them to leave in a hurry. I get that having the group actually do things that would make sense in real life would then preclude the half-dozen “individual” storylines we’ll probably be watching for the next few episodes, but it’s stuff like this that kind of makes me wish they’d all just get eaten.

-Lizzie is a creepy-ass little kid. Her killing those bunnies for no reason is a pretty good indicator that she was the one feeding the walkers back at the prison. She seems to have an unhealthy obsession with death, and I’m pretty sure she would have killed Judith if Carol hadn’t happened along. Glad to see Carol back too, even if we all knew it was simply a matter of time. I wonder how long it’ll be before Tyrese finds out what Carol did (if she actually did it) and how he’ll react.

-Still can’t figure out what’s up with the ex-army doctor alcoholic dude with Maggie & Sasha. All of a sudden he’s Mr. “I’m going to be happy all the time because I choose to”. Just seems like kind of a disjointed character - at first I thought there was maybe something sinister going on with him but now I’m not so sure. This show generally isn’t the type to be throwing out red herrings so I hope they either do something with him soon or kill him off because as it is it’s just kind of distracting.

Better episode, although it's almost like they tried to cram too much into 45 minutes after drawing too little out of last week. Even so they did re-introduce everyone pretty well, and I'm intrigued by the new folks at the end. I'm not a reader of the graphic novels but from what I understand they are a big part of that world and you can assume they will be central to this season going forward. Something new is welcome.

The child-characters are starting to wear thin. Maybe it's the acting, but I'm not buying into the characters and they just annoy me whenever they are on the screen. Although Lizzie borderline suffocating Judith (who I didn't even think was Judith at all until someone said it) was tense.

More and more characters are getting more and more complex. Darryl's sulking, Beth's wavering back and forth between hope and despair, Carol's apprehension about joining with Tyrese, the Doc's optimistic turn, and Michonne's partial backstory last week are creating an interesting weave.

Now it looks like they are going to go Lost style and split up storylines into 2-3 parts, which I am still on the fence about. I also wonder if they are going to completely drop the women who were with the Governor, or are they going to be written into the show themselves? If not, what was the point of spending time to give them any characterization in the first place?
Good foreshadowing - we meet "Abraham" at the end. Could he be the new villain? I don't read the stories, but I've certainly heard that name in the Walking Dead world.

And Glen rescued that Tara girl. I thought he was seeing things (like Maggie) through his visor, but turns out it was Tara.

I liked this episode. I like how different characters have ended up together - Darryl and Beth, Tyreese is the big babysitter, Glen and Tara, Maggie with Sasha and medic man. So fun.

I thought last week's episode with Rick, Karl and Michonne was much better.

I get that they need to fill in the blanks of what everyone has been up to since the prison break, and it is a delicate balance between fleshing out the story and rushing things. I could have done with a little more rushing things. I fully expect next week to pick up the story a bit.

Really interesting thought but I am not sure Lizzie could have dragged the bodies outside to burn them.

I agree- that is the one hole in my theory. Maybe she had her little sister help; and that is part of the reason why she is so scared now.

Or she witnessed Carol do it? She seems to idolize her and seeing Carol kill 2 people could have opened her up to her dark passenger (to steal the term from Dexter) Lots of possibilities.

Isn't it possible she killed them and carol burned them to "cover it up". Carol was the one who introduced them to weapons and violence in the first place. Maybe she felt guilty/responsible.

Nope, it wasn't, I didn't lol that's for sure. But it was humorous and witty, hence my replay about him missing the humour in it.
