Coric seems to always give Nadal fits, maybe it's because I only watch him against Nadal but I'm surprised he hasn't done more with his career.
Hopefully Nadal can improve in some areas not too concerned he still has time until the US Open to work on his game.

Vasek had a nice three set win last night over Jordan Thompson at the Odlum Brown VanOpen tourney. He takes on Gilles Simon on Friday in the quarter-finals.

Medvedev takes set 1 7-5. Denis is playing well and I think Daniil is ripe for the picking today as Meddy is a little off his game today. That said, Medvedev is tough even when he's not playing great.

Big hold by Denis right there and great to see the patience to wait for a shorter ball to pounce. This is the type of game he needs to play all the time.
Edit: Medvedev breaks and is serving for the match at 6-5 in set 2.

Medvedev closes it out 7-5 7-5. Shapo should take away a lot of good things from this match though, he just needs to clean up some unforced errors and be a little more clinical at times, but that's the best he's played since he beat Rafa several months ago on the clay.

Meanwhile, Madison Keys just eliminated Iga Swiatek 6-3 6-4. It was 6-3 5-0 before Iga rallied to win four straight games, but Madison got a break late to take the match.

Swiatek seems like she kind of flew under the radar for most of the clay season but then the lights got a little bright once the winning streak approached Serena's and she hasn't had the focus since then. Some really weird performances.

I heard that the Cincy courts are much faster than the US Open courts and are closer to the AO courts. I think that the Canadian courts are much closer in terms of speed to the US Open, so basically what I'm saying is that PCB is going to win the US Open.

Supposedly they are using a lighter ball as well in Cincy so that could be why we are seeing some surprising results,

Coric just dusted RBA in 80 minutes, he's playing some mighty fine tennis right now.

Greek Yogurt will take on big John Isner next as John just eliminated Sebi Korda (third set tie-break required).

By the way, Felix vs. Sinner is coming up at the top of the clock which is a mouth-watering matchup.

Yikes, very shaky set from Felix as Sinner takes it 6-2. This looks like his match versus Ruud last week in Montreal.

and when Sinner gives him a break point, he nails a backhand three meters long.

Yeah, first two break chances of the match and he just completely gives them back... fortunately a really bad game from Sinner once it got to deuce.

The funny thing is at the moment neither guy is playing all that well, but if Felix is able to force a 3rd set, he could somehow eek out a win.
