Nice to see the Jays get some breaks over the last couple of games.

I was going to say... It feels like the Jays get a lot of flubbed routine outs by opposing teams either screwing pop ups, bad throws on pick off attempts, etc.

Bo”s lack of hustle on the pop up cost the Jays a run there

Tigers have some pretty impressive arms in their pen. If Torkelson and Greene develop into the hitters they are meant to be they could have a decent squad in a couple years.

The Chapman-bullpen home run relationship is hilarious.

Yankees got Montas and Trevino and didn't even give up a BA top 100 prospect?

Astros and Yankees got better with the trades they made. Jays need to step up and improve the team.

Jays will do something. Their lack of a minor move so far gives my spidey sense the feel they are focusing all their attention on something large right now.
Lopez and Soto still haven’t been moved.

Atkins sitting on his hands is frustrating. Has not made a single move all season despite the rotation and bullpen each clearly lacking a piece while sitting on 3 MLB calibre catchers, Kirk has to move now (or a month ago) for max value. Has had months to make a move and will come away with nothing saying the prices are too high.

Atkins has shown me enough over the past 3 years to give me confidence he isn’t just sitting on his hands. Springer, Ryu, Berrios, Gausman and Chapman were all major splashes.
He’ll do something to help this team for sure.

Maybe, but those are offseason moves that have the luxury of time and stagnant rosters, not inseason trades that are bit more hectic. They have a day still to go and a lot of moving parts, but they do have to do something.
Soto finally going somewhere (Padres), should open up the trading flood gates, but Yanks with some solid business today.

Berrios was in season and was out of the blue. I think they’ll do something similar tomorrow.

And Yankees did give up some good prospects. BA isn’t the only scouting org out there. Waldechuk and Medina are both top 100 on some lists even ahead of Ricky and Zulueta. I remember the last As starter (Gray) that Yankees traded for didn’t work out very well.
Also it’s very unlikely any of the starters (other than Rodon) would be top three on this rotation which means you’re just trading for depth, not someone that would be meaningful for the playoffs when rotations often go three deep. All I really hope is they get one solid reliever of say Garcia/Cimber quality and say another guy a bit worse for depth.
