Stripling gave up 5 in the first in a game against Boston earlier this season too. Just not a good matchup apparently.

Stripling doing his best to put Starting Pitching back onto the "need" list.

The sad part is, despite how good he's been for the past month or two, I've just been waiting for him to turn back into a pumpkin.

"Stop, stop. We're already dead"

This is going to dent the ol' run differential.

It makes me so mad that the Red Sox have been struggling and our starter gives them a free win in the first ####ing inning to get them back on track.

Such an important series too.

I have faith the Jays bats can get the runs I just have no faith in the bullpen shutting the sox down

That's the problem. Not only can the bullpen not shut them down for 8 innings, but now tomorrow's starter is also gone, so the pen is ####ed for the entire series.

Could not have been a worse scenario: 3 good starters used up against the Rangers, then Manoah slips and hurts himself, then Stripling forgets how to pitch.

Bam. The series is done before it starts.

Just batting practice now. Sorry Kay but youre going to be thrown to the wolves tonight. Need you to eat innings and hope noone gets hurt.

Yeah, all the warm fuzzies from the weekend are fleeting. Going to be a scramble to try and win a game this series now.

Couldn't even get an inning out of Kay. That hurts.

I wonder what it's like to play in a game like this. It's not like Boston blew it open late. But to have an absolute #### kicking before the game even begins. Funny thing is the Jays did this to Texas yesterday...

It looks like the panel jinxed Stripling bragging him up before his last start. He's been ass since.

Jiri finishes up work and remembers there's a Jays game on. Probably didn't miss too much so let's settle in and enjoy a nice ball game.

Well ####

So now the Jays have to bounce back with a starting pitcher who is coming off an injury and hasn't pitched a major league inning yet this season, plus a bullpen that pitched 8.2 innings last night. They used every lefty reliever for at least an inning.

Yikes.

Every time this team gets on a tiny bit of a roll, the Red Sox or Rays happen.

Pearson has started throwing again it sounds like, and they are converting him to a reliever for the rest of the season with an eye to stretching him back out next year.

Not exactly a proven commodity, but if he clicks as a reliever it would be a huge addition to the bullpen no doubt.
