Trump and his writers totally don't get how this dinner is supposed to work. What a tool. Watch any of the last three or four of these things on You Tube and there is no booing not even with W. This is so bad.

^Yeah, sort of. It usually ends up being about 50 50 self deprecating and good-natured jabs referencing the race.
And Hillary.

Wow, she had to explain jokes to the Cardinal. Man, he had some good stuff at the start, but turned it into a platform for himself, I'm sure everyone things so much better of him now.

His Rosie Odonnal joke was fantastic and his Melania / Obama one was great. 10 solid minutes and then he looked like he gave up and went off script.
Hillary was pretty good too.
"Nobody respects women like I do. Nobody. Now watch me rip on my wife." Good grief. Poor women gets dragged through his politics and this is how he treats her?
Just watched the dinner...wow. Trump had really bad writers. So many awkward moments.
His best jab was at his own wife!
Rarely are guys like him actually funny, but they can pull it off if they hire some pros and stick to the script. He just came across as bitter and vindictive while trying to be funny.

Hillary had a few good moments but her platitudes become tiresome. I understand why she talks a lot about the need for respect especially given this campaign, but she lays it on too thick.
EDIT: I've come to be of the opinion that Hillary is doing what she does because she doesn't want to open any possibility of an argument that she is weak and won't fight Trump because she is a woman. And I respect that if that's why she gets into the trenches. I just don't think its necessary she's shown over the years she's no wilting lily.
