Yeah I think the AEW main event scene really needs a hoss. Archer is good, but Lee is more complete for that role.
Also, this round of releases is just another in a series of changes to WWE to basically run a media and entertainment company who showcase social media influencers that happen to be wrestlers on the side.
WWE is turning very meta.
I think the rumors of a potential sale have to be true.
Really trying to thin out any future contracts / liabilities.
Think you see them get down to just the core contracts they need to run their programs. And then they potentially get sold.
I think there's more play on the network, there's been a complete lack of new content for months.
I think this is a Nick Kahn edict, he wants younger and bigger, and better younger people to invest in. Also with the WWE roster being pretty bloated they probably want to streamline things.
But yeah this kind of balance sheet adjustment is interesting, they're also bouncing out executives left right and center.

The funny thing is if Nick Khan wants to take the company down that route - fine. They can change the company as they see fit. But he has to know that there is a massive audience that eats up wrestling product, and Tony Khan is experiencing that windfall. Never have I seen such a windfall of talent that arrives at their doorstep since WCW was acquired 20 years ago.
I just don't see Triple H long for WWE at this rate, unless he's baked in with investments and internal power. But he seems to be losing the latter.
Honestly I think with the way the industry is now, the "forbidden door" access growing the product, and the revival of fun wrestling again (thanks AEW, NJPW and Impact!), there's probably room for a "breakaway" promotion from WWE that would be well-timed, especially with the demise of ROH.
If Vince was smart he'd "fire" HHH and get him to build up his own promotion on the West Coast and then at some point do a for real invasion after a few years. Have them actively compete, steal contracts, build up generations of stars that HHH likes.
Ah hell it would only work with a phony divorce between Steph and HHH.

Perfect ending to the main event, the nod from matt Jackson sets up so much with the elite
MJF and Darby was probably 2nd best match of the night
Inner circle/ATT and super kliq/JE were probably too similar, I liked latter more, Santana and ortiz and sammy need to start getting their own matches on these cards. Luchasauras was the star of that match, he doesnt get enough credit for how well he can move.
Britt needs a change of some kind, shes close to becoming a bit stale, Tay looked great.
Weird finish to Miro and Bryan, great match though
Cody needs to turn heel, he was the only one in that match who didnt get cheered, probably worst match of the night, just never got going and crowd was dead
Punk and Kingston definitely got crowd going again, I thought eddie should have won, punks best match in AEW by far
Okada is showing up Wednesday right? I get Ishii is teaming with OC the match, but okada has been teased so much and aew dont usually do that without delivering. Maybe it's not this week but it has to be coming before he goes back to Japan for WK
I decided to skip out on the Winnipeg show. There's really not anyone who I haven't already seen live that I want to see and I'm not quite comfortable yet being in large crowds.
I'm surprised Shane Thorne lasted as long as he did. It was all downhill after they broke up TM61. That match they had in the finals of the Dusty Classic against AOP was fantastic, and probably the highlight of his NXT career.
