Just a quick message to the Jays - if you don’t want Nance to turn into Little or Rodriguez, don’t overuse him like you overused them.

I wouldn’t bring in Lucas unless we were up another couple of runs. As rough as it has been for Varland, Lucas against this lineup is a pretty scary thought.

Interesting that they pulled Bieber up to the Wednesday game. A reflection on the fact that Lauer is more needed in the bullpen at this point?

I hope so. Who would have thought that Nance/Lauer could be a big part of this bullpen a month ago? If Varland can get going, that would be massive...confidence (or the lack thereof) can be contagious within a bullpen. This is a huge few innings today.
