Lindsey Graham, Newt Gingrich, Ted Cruz... are bad people.

They do it a lot. How many times have you heard an R voter say they loathe Obamacare but their next sentence is that, yes I have health insurance but its thru the ACA?

Once this gets called for Biden, there's no doubt in my mind that we're gonna see some MAGA lunatics lose their s**t and probably do something dumb or violent. Hopefully law enforcement are prepared to handle these idiots.
Lindsay Graham doing whatever he can to prevent the gay tapes from surfacing.
Don't say that. It makes me feel some shred of empathy for him.

With the things he absent mindedly spews he potentially mobilizes misguided followers to do really dumb and dangerous things.
And even 4 years of real experience later, he hasn't learned to watch himself at all. Hasn't learned what's good to say and what shouldn't be said. He hasn't gained an ounce of tact or responsibility in the most important position on the planet.
He needed to go, and I'm glad he is.
The way he's going out says all you need to know about his character and leadership. And his respect for democracy.
Why 70 million people deemed this acceptable is beyond me. That population is lost.

Well, if it's going to happen in Philadelphia, this comes to mind... substitute Philly for New York.

When they polled people years ago, many of the same people who hated “Obamacare” liked the ACA, and even more liked the principles of the ACA.
Look, the Democrats obviously have to do something. Trump won black voters and latino voters at a higher rate than last time, and the latter is particularly concerning because of demographics and the fact that latinos are more conservative voters than a lot of people think. The current establishment strategy seems to be failing to produce a lot of energy while alienating a large group of voters who they should be able to win.
I don't know what the right answer is exactly, but this shouldn't have been this close.
To moderate.
To listen, not to immediately be condescending when someone says they don’t want to focus on the same issues you do.
Basically read Cecil’s response to me and that is what needs removal from the Left and the Right. I get the same responses from hardcore Bernie supporters as I do Trump supporters because people like me don’t really agree with either.
It’s fine if I come in and post an article that quotes actual Democrats saying they need to moderate. Yet get attacked. It doesn’t mean I am wrong.
Look at it this way. You have a president who a criminal, and culpable in the deaths of many Americans. You have Mitch McConnell who is as evil and partisan as they come. Yet the Dems lost seats in the House, lost the Senate, and we are in day 3 of not knowing if Biden won.
That paragraph is a horrendous indictment that the current message isn’t landing. That Americans would take someone who voting for will probably endanger their family more than another guy.
Anyways I said here before I want Biden to win. Although I don’t think I should have to explain myself.
Just that I have had to listen to the same “Sure Jan” for 2 years now when I said extreme left politics will result in disaster.
Probably to soon to bring up, but that part of the left is so obnoxious. I want it gone, not the ideas, just the obnoxiousness.

I don't know why you would think that of all people on this forum, I would be a supporter of "extreme left politics". I think the actual far left posters on this forum would probably laugh at that characterization. What I found silly about the article you posted was the notion that this suggested some sort of "waking up" on the Democratic side, or some change of course. No matter what happened in this election, there was going to be a fight afterwards between the establishment of the party and the fringe of the party, and the establishment voices you quoted were going to say the same exact things. Had Biden won 50 states, they would have said, "See? The Candidate of "back to normal", the centrist establishment Democrat, won the day in dramatic fashion. He doesn't need to listen to the fringe of the party, because this type of win demonstrates that they don't represent what people want."
It's just inevitable, predictable spin from people who were always going to provide that spin. That is why I roll my eyes at it.

How many Trump voters didn't vote because they are sick with or dead from the pandemic he called a Democrat hoax?
Not enough

I don't know anyone who has ever said that. Obamacare/ACA was a fairly good compromise, but after all the negotiation, it only helps a very narrow swath of people and most all of them are very appreciative and protective of it.
What the Dem's have to do, and they have resoloutly refused to acknowledge, is that they need to build massively better local organizations that address local issues, the Dem's have ignored state level organization for decades, they focus all their attention on national policies
