I don’t think it should be blind trust it should be broad based index funds with 80% index / 20% bonds like VTI with set dates for buying or selling.

my guess is if you can bankrupt out of a loan then no bank in the US would have anything to do with student loans, its a case of fix it all or leave it the same, there is no middle ground.

Yeah but it's the state court's ruling for soecific cases. It's not like feds are passing a law or making a ruling. They are appealing!

Without comment on the issues itself, and without knowing the facts of the case/cases:
(1) The specific case would set preceident meaning it would apply to all similar cases; and
(2) If the federal government is appealing, it means they have standing and thus are affected by the ruling

I read somewhere that US intelligence sat on a bunch of information during Crimea and came to regret it after the fact.
