That was a valuable lesson, and may actually help us next game

I would also like to say if the refs don't miss that blatant high stick on Weber the second goal doesn't get scored.....pure speculation of course.

I expect Canada to come out like they did versus the Russians and steamroll the Americans. They have it in them.

Actually, I just slowed it down and looked and that puck hit Luongo's glove. No post. The 2nd replay shows it pretty clearly.

That was a HUGE save. Game saving. Clutch, if you will.

The way the slovaks finished the game is incredible completely dominated Canada in the last 10 minutes and now the boxscore won't reflect the true game though.

I hope the slovaks win the bronze they earned it this tournament and I will be cheering for them tomorrow.

In Luongo we Trust!

At least Maguire certainly seems convinced he stopped it/got just enough, and if he got it, you can't be more clutch than that.

More importantly. Bring on the United States!

Edit: Wow, what a save!

I would think they would be more concerned about how bad their d were manhandled by the Canadian forwards last time the teams played.

Most timely save perhaps, great even but far from greatest.

Anyways what an awful game. Decent first, "meh" second and terrible third. No lines looked particularly good and a few players on a few lines are down right invisible.

Good thing Luo made that final seconds save after letting in that brutal softie earlier, with how the rest of his team was playing that would have been it.

Luongo hasn't had to be that good in net so far this tournament but he's going to have to be on his best against the Americans.

Also, WTF were the referees doing? Were they asleep. So many penalties by the Slovaks that weren't called. Iginla, Crosby, Heatley, Doughty, Marleau were all being waterskied by defenders throughout the game and not a single call.

The referees need a slap in the head.

Luongo was good. The first goal was pretty bad though. He was adequate and made a great save at the end. Probably saves he never should have had to.

Please keep Pronger, Neidermeyer and Seabrook off the ice next game.

Yea. Looks like he did get it with his glove. Lucky. Huge save.

Now, if he didn't completely blow it earlier in the period, they wouldn't have even been in that position....

Bergeron is really looking like a terrible pick for this team. There are more than ten better players that could have been here in his place.

Yeah the reffing is ridiculous.

First that ridiculous high stick to Weber that caused a scoring chance. No way the ref misses that. The Slovak's shaft basically hooked Weber's face to the ground.

And then Hossa blatantly hauling down Richards on a clearing attempt that likely ends in an empty netter for Canada.

Oh and a horribly unclutch save by Luongo at the end there.
