Just got mauled by a team with a 37 rating vs. my 33, 8-1 and I had the tactics battle won (played normal vs. his defensive).
Goalie lets in 8 goals on 21 shots... rofl.
I'm having zero luck this season - that game should have been in the bag for me or at least a tie.

Ya this season has nothing going well for me either; two games in a row now I won on tactics but lost by one goal. I am really getting hurt by injuries, haven't had a healthy roster all year yet.

First win in December! Only play nonames twice this month, so I'm expecting a record of 2-11 haha.

Well my hockey team keeps losing 1 goal games, that's the fourth in a row today, but at least my soccer team has reached the sweet sixteen of the National Cup

Well one of the teams in our league went inactive, meaning there's three teams now that myself and Chalms should finish ahead of...so as long as I can get a few wins in the second half auto-relegation may be avoided!

Finally got a big win today, 6-1 over Montreals Canadiens. Still stuck in 17th place, but there is so much parity in my league this year so far that all teams are really close in points still, especially counting 3 points for a win.

Sweet, I play the inactive team on Wednesday. Gotta get my licks in while I can.

Soo what are your guy's team looking like these days? Here's mine, I've been playing 3 lines because I have a center injured.

My top goalie though broke 100/50/50 just recently!

starting to come into form really nicely there Hades! One more season and you should be able to compete in div III, just try and survive!
The top teams in div III would have a roster like mine, my goaltending is weaker than most teams but it seems like my shooting has been helping against better teams. Most teams in div III you would find better goaltending then mine but worse overall players on the lines (bad ratios, or not paying attention to shooting, or ignoring tech in def etc.)
I'm on quite a hot streak right now and excited about my team, except Cheda, my number 1 right wing and Paquet, LD3, both went down, which is going to hurt cause my team is already stuck with injuries.

Here's mine... need a bit more Canadian content in my lineup, but I have some young guns moving up the ranks.
Got a legit league win last game!

Wow, really like that Jarred Dobbs, how much did you spend on him?

Nice Chalms, your team is clearly better than mine...so is your top end Canadian talent and prospects to be honest (I was looking on your team page, some very nice AQs there!)

Too much, haha.
Been pretty active in the market lately, both buying and selling. Picked up a few key pieces to try and be a bit more competitive in div III.
My best pickup imo has been a 15 year old goalie who is already rated at 80/40/40. Overpaid a bit, but he'll eventually be replacing Purins who is 25 with only 2/6 CL.
Finally caved and bought some credits. Figured I might as well because I seem to check PPM more than my actual hockey pools!

I could see you getting at least a point vs puredangles to help hang on to your spot.
I'll most likely be playing in the relegation round, don't think I can finish 3 spots higher after playoffs.
Quote:
Teams ranked 9th to 16th after the regular season play in the playoff for final ranking. This playoff is also very important, as the teams ranked 13th to 16th will play the beaten finalists from the lower divisions to avoid relegation.
Teams ranked 17th to 20th after the regular season will be automatically relegated to the lower divisions and they will be replaced by the champions from these divisions. However, these relegated teams will play the playoff for final ranking on positions 17th to 20th.

Ya I saw that you bought some credits, it does make the game a whole lot better. Plus that generous adding of credits added 5 credits to my account! So thank you very much

The final standings in III.3 will come down to the last day.
The Calgary Flamez can escape relegation by earning at least a point versus the 3rd place Milleteers. Sixteenth place Super Awesome Team, whom the Flamez are trying to leapfrog, will have a difficult time holding on as they play the league leading Bubbles de Ste-Therese. The Smoke Eaters hope to have a strong finish to the season against 10th place Missing Link.
15 Smoke Eaters 37 11 1 1 2 22 38
16 Super Awesome Team 37 9 3 3 1 21 37
17 Calgary Flamez 37 10 1 3 1 22 36
