As resident Coangelo hater, is Turkeyglue the worst contract in the league? Who else is on the list after mcgrady and shaq expire? Walton ($6M exp in 2013), Gibson ($4.5 exp in 3013) Lewis ($23 2013) ?

Elton Brand at $18M expiring in 2013 is the worst I found bouncing through hoopshpye, Turk at $12 in 2014 might be next. And that year is a player option.

Elton Brand is a terrible deal because of his injuries but if healthy Brand is a million times better than Turkoglu.

Turkoglu is trying to get the Raptors to release him unconditionally from the team. I can't stand players like this.....his pathetic season just got even worse. Pretty sure anyone making that kind of money should be able to deal with a few people questioning his integrity when spotted clubbing hours after missing a game due to a reported illness.

Most of me hopes they make him come back.

I hear the 76's are shopping brand's contract and the second overall pick as a package. I think I came across it on NBAdraft.net, but I digress. I think if the raps would ship hedo and absorb Brand it would be a great way to pick up Cousins or Turner along with our 13th pick. I think bosh is out.

That pick belongs to the Heat from the Marion or O'Neal trade. It's going to be a long off season for the Raps.

The pick is lottery-protected. If the Raps had made the playoffs, Heat would have gotten the pick. But because they missed the playoffs, they hold onto their pick this year and Miami gets the 2011 pick.

If the Nets would go for that, I'd do it in a heartbeat and draft Turner. Factor in a Bosh trade, and a starting five of Bynum/Bargnani/DeRozan/Turner/Jack would be great (with Brand on the second unit). But it also makes a Bosh -> Chicago trade less likely, as Taj Gibson wouldn't fit in a front-court that already includes Bargnani/Brand/potentially Johnson, and no true center.
