USC scheduled ONE OOC game that would be considered that.

Charleston Southern, Troy and Florida International all in one year is a joke. You have to admit that. Same with Texas.

And I agree Penn. St. and Ole Miss is even worse.

Beyond that though...at least Bama played a real team OOC in Va Tech.

The difference is that Florida has 3 of them every year and an average Florida State team. Ohio State and Texas had a home and home series recently, USC always has some strong OOC opponents, Bama has had some strong competition to start the year lately.

The only exception is Ole Miss and no one really knows if they deserve to be up there. They are the typical SEC team that schedules a bunch of cupcakes to go 4-0 in non-conference play and even with a poor conference year (say 3-5) they'll still end up being bowl eligible.

USC plays a Washington team that now #9 LSU only beat by a TD. Washington is no pushover with Locker back under center.

The problem with the SEC is the whole tough conference schedule mantra comes in large part from the fact that most of the conference plays brutally weak non-conference schedules. This all but guarantees a plethora of 8-4 and higher teams and, in turn, top 25 rankings.

Don't get me wrong, the SEC is probably the toughest conference in the country, but this is in large part due to inflated records from out of conference play.
No, SEC is the toughest because it's the toughest, not because of out of conf play.

By virtue of its conference affiliation Florida has and will have for the foreseeable future one of the toughest scheds around.

No.

Florida does not have a tough schedule just because they play in the SEC. Their schedule this year is weak. LSU and Georgia, who might be out of the top 25 by the time they play Florida. That's it.

Okay, so they're the toughest just because. Got it.

Florida has a hilariously easy schedule. Their only tough games are against a Georgia team that got dominated by Oklahoma State and LSU.

Aside from that it's the weak end of the SEC (missing out on Bama and Ole Miss), an average Florida St. team, and 3 cupcakes.

Are South Carolina (barely got past NC State), Tennessee (lost to UCLA), Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Miss St., and Arkansas really tough games?

SEC is great at self marketing but the conference isn't that scary. The teams do schedule cupcakes for ooc and will only play them at home.

Miami with two touchdowns on its first two drives of the game. Looking good vs. gTech right now.

lol your argument is a complete joke.

Dont forget florida will have to play either LSU again BAMA or OLE miss in the sec championship game

but all your schedule complaining isn't going to change the fact that UF is ranked number 1 and will be as long as they win out.

But I would rather play teams like Washington, and state stanford, iowa ill, purude, northwestern, wisconsin, maryland, iowa state baylor, kansas kansas state, over UGA or SC every year.

Miami looked great tonight.

The SEC rules, everyone else sucks argument will rage for eternity. Can we just call a truce on that? Let's see how the year plays out.

As a bit of a dig on you SEC rules guys, explain Michigan housing up the awesome Tebow Gators a couple years back. Henne and Hart, oh yeah.

I'll take Washington and the 18 points tomorrow over USC.

I would too if i was betting on this game, but I cant bet agaisnt the men from troy.

In fact...i am very concerned about losing this game straight up...Sarkesian knows the Carroll system inside out. Nick Holt is the DC for Sark and held the same position with USC the previous 3 seasons...he knows that personel and their schemes as well as anyone.

Blocker is one of the best QB's in football and then we have another first time starter under center for the Trojans.

Im scared.

If the refs can stop with the garbage calls and the RB's just hold on to the ball USC should win easily as Washington can't stop the running game at all so far.

Pretty easy to see why Barkely was the starter Corp has been terrible.

USC sure looks like they don't care out there today.

USC should be trouncing these guys...it has nothing to do with the officials. Its simply the weakest excuse known to sports fans for the most part.

This was a trap game from the second last weeks game ended the way it did. A bunch of kids who expended that much emotion in Colombus was bound to have a let down this week. Carroll knew it, the players knew it and most of all I bet Sarkisian knew it. The players "care", but they just dont know how to overcome the lack of emotion that is somehat natural.

This is playing out as i suspected...which frightens the hell out of me.

One thing USC has going for them though...is that Pete carroll is one of the best half time coaches in the country when it comes to making adjustments and getting the message to the players.

That roughing the passer call was god awful and gave the Huskies an extra 3 points. That was the point about the refs not that they were the cause for USC not being up by a lot more.

After seeing the Stamps game last night and the brutal SEC refs in the Tenn-Florida perhaps I am too sensitive towards bad calls right now.
