I figured one McLaren would crash. Picked the wrong one.

It seems like often when there's a dramatic WDC swing in qualifying it ends up flipping back in the race. With the SC rate here I wouldn't be shocked if Norris wins and Oscar DNFs

That sucks for Gasly. Can max give the spot back during a SC? Curious how that works with no overtaking under SC.

Lap 1 wreck takes Gasly out, Tsunoda lucky to escape unscathed. Norris up 2 spots.

Verstappen should be giving up the lead as Piastri had the corner and Verstappen cut it.

Y bad, Tsunoda retired the car.

Lando making decent work of all the yellow tires he's running down on the hards. There's a good chance he's going to pit strategy into a podium.

Williams with a 8th and 9th place finish with some teamwork to hold of Hadjar was cool to see.

Lando needed maybe 2 more laps to reel in Leclerc. Have to applaud Leclerc to run 30 + laps on the yellows to keep him on the podium. Was that a successful Ferrari strategy for once?

Piastri Norris and Verstappen title fight. I'm here for it.

T1 design kinda sucks, and that DRS zone was too powerful. Would have rather seen battles into the previous hairpin than all the DRS line junk.

Williams almost blew it on the last lap or two as Albon lost the DRS. Impressive drive from Hadjar.

Is Lawson the new Ocon? He's gotta be the Penalty leader so far this year

It would have been a really interesting race without the penalty, especially considering how McLaren boofed Oscar's pitstop. Undercut might have failed and it would have to have been settled on track.

Or if Max just gave the position he might have managed the undercut himself

Nice to see someone actually go toe to toe with Max. Lando seems to blink first every time. Piastri fearless. Lewis looks lost out there. The combination of this generation of cars and him being at a new team with a car that he doesn’t seem comfortable with is hard to watch. I was surprised all the rookies kept it together today. I was expecting multiple SCs. Williams continue to impress. Good teamwork and finish from them. I get AM is all in on the new regs with Newey and their new wind tunnel but sheesh they suck.

Norris maybe gets a podium had he not taken 3 times to get by Lewis. Not sure why he didn’t use the correct DRS strategy the first time.

Norris's racecraft is not at the same level as Lewis or Max. And Norris also got lucky with Gasly and Yuki taking each other out.

Results from Saudi! Congrats this week goes to Powderjunkie who takes top spot with 3 slotter and 7 top 10. I think this is her first weekly win!

Overall, Powderjunkie also jumps into the lead by winning the tiebreaker (8 correctly slotted) over me haha. P3-P6 are just a few points back.

Kind of boring race again, but man is Piastri looking good. Did anyone catch why Lawson got a 10s penalty for his pass at T1 and Max only got 5s? They looked identical, and if anything Lawson at least tried to make the turn.

And agreed Woob/Ironhorsse, Lando HAS to know the power of the DRS and timing on the pass of Hamilton. It just screams impatience or lack of details. I think he really might start to falter if Piastri beats him again in Miami.

Spoiler!

Because Max did it on the first lap

Remember when Max had his radio messaged bleeped out for a swear?

Turns out he didn't swear.

They need a wall on turn one. Max also needs to learn he can't get away with that anymore and stop doing it.

I posted this in the watch thread but thought it fit here too.

We were on vacation a couple months ago and as we came up to reception I noticed the watch this guy was wearing. He had on an unmistakable square Monaco Gulf in turquoise with matching turquoise and orange nato strap. I made a comment to him about it and we struck up a conversation as he was excited someone was an F1 and a watch fan. I really like the colours and look of both the square and round face of those watches but I’m far too cheap to justify buying one. A few weeks after I come across something similar that I could justify getting to fulfill my itch. It’s Gulf/McLaren-esque

Spoiler!

So what you are saying is we have to be sure we understand when you host a Watch party, it could mean either or?
