Come on OSU has more talent than anyone in the sport. The Vols played the best team playing this weekend. My team (Oregon) easily got the hardest second round matchup.

No doubt Ohio State is a very good team, but also no doubt Tennessee is not. Tennessee would have lost by 2+TDs against any of the higher seeds this weekend. Can't be a playoff team with that abysmal an offense.

Well like Texas they got a bit of a soft SEC schedule. They got Bama and Georgia but no one else. No LSU, SC, Ole Miss, A&M or Missouri. That’s why they managed to get through with 2 losses while SC, Bama and ole Miss with harder schedules had 3. I do disagree they would have lost by two tds to either Texas or ND. Maybe Penn State but Texas and ND do not have the wideouts that OSU has.

Just a bad matchup for the Vols there. Their strength is run defence and that just didn’t matter here. They will thrive in low scoring games but when they can’t stay close it’s going to be ugly since they are not going to win from behind.

Rematch of a game we barely won.

I'm not a die hard fan or anything -- I follow them because I live here but don't watch too many games -- but just given my sports luck (Flames Fan + previous Oregon failures), I'm totally expecting the Ducks to choke again on New Years.

Hoping this is the year they finally win something, since I don't see the Flames winning the cup anytime soon.

So apparently Cam Ward (qb of Miami) has an agreement with the team to only play half of their bowl game. So they get up big in first half he doesn’t play second and he loses. Now when draft stock was being applied to poor people who were students and it was protecting their future nfl payday is was understandable. Now that stars in college are getting seven figure salaries and they have immense insurance policies less so. They should try to fix this along with all the other stuff broken with current NiL rules and windows.

I like Boise State +11. Those guys are tricky in big games.

This might be the worst quarter by a qb in the history of football and it’s not even over yet! Go f yourself DeBoer. I look forward to years of Bama underperforming.

It's a shame Michigan is going to squander what should have been a three score lead of a first quarter but that's why they lost 5 games. Don’t want to hear a goddamn thing about Alabama deserving to be in the playoff though, getting slapped around by a Michigan defence comprised of backups is pathetic

They’re not being slapped around. It’s just their qb imploded. If Bama scores again here I expect them to win. Michigan just isn’t very good.

Alabama is also not very good though, so....although it is too bad they didn't make the playoff, a 6 TD loss to Penn State would have been top tier comedy.

Brock Osweiler doing the colour on this bowl game. Wonder if he rolled into the booth rocking his Broncos SB ring

And hypothetical Michigan with a competent starting QB is the #1 team in the country. Really, we're actually witnessing the true hypothetical National Championship. We should be grateful to watch this great football.

If Alabama can't beat Michigan with Orji playing QB not only do we viciously mock anyone who thought they should be in the playoff we should consider relegating them to the Sun Belt. Orji playing is like having the worst wildcat QB in history lining up for you.

Milroe and Carson Beck starting the year as potential first round picks and ending it as future UFL players is pretty funny.

I'm hypothetically grateful that I sprained my ankle, so I could be immobile to watch this game.

To be fair, losing to a team who threw for 75 yards is very special.

With South Carolina losing to Illinois now every first team out except BYU that had an alleged gripe lost their bowl game. Probably too crestfallen being left out of the playoff and they were unable to compete on a smaller stage. Ole Miss is the last hope but they only have to beat a lowly ACC Duke squad so it should be a cakewalk.

Now on to Penn state against the Jeanty show
