Yeah you only get Boo'ed if you pull a Johnny or sign with the Oilers.

I don't particularly like how this was handled by Kylington and or his representatives given the circumstances, but at the end of the day it's a business and these guys will do what they believe is best for them. As a result of that the Flames quickly pivoted and moved on with Jake Bean - whom could very easily end up being a better player anyways. Kylington understandably struggled heavily after returning to the lineup - so it's not much of a loss at this point from an on ice perspective. It just strikes me as odd that given the way he was treated here that a deal couldn't be found. Best of luck to him.

He might still sign here, but it will have to be with the understanding that he will not be gifted with a roster spot.

It's ridiculous that anyone thinks he owes the Flames anything. If both sides can't find common ground, then wave goodbye and sign someone else. There's no feelings here.

There wasn't going to be a long term deal for Kylington for the simple reason that there's a bunch of talented kids coming up through the system.

Should we boo Conroy if he releases a player?

Or even a 2 year deal. Was obvious to everyone but Kylington and his agent.
They'll he back. Kylington will sign a 1 year deal with the Flames after he realizes he's not that wanted.
He has it in him and should prove it next year.

I'd bet the Flames offer has been withdrawn and replaced with a lesser one year deal if any deal at all.

I figured he would be back. Guess it doesn’t always work out.

The beauty of the Flames is that there is literally no players now where it would matter if they left.
Case in point. Who is the Flames best player?

Kadri. But you're right, it wouldn't matter if he left

I just watched a reel where Stamkos ripped into Tampa beeping Bay for poor funds (budgeting) mismanagement and is done with them. Amazing how cutting he was in ripping into them - yet he’s right - GMs are paid to manage the budget and it shows that some could make it as politicians in their ‘budgets balance themselves’ mentality. This is where conroy is a breath of fresh air. But, for Stamkos to light up his recently former team with lambasting them is a breath of fresh air too! Don’t know how I’d feel about that if I was a Tampa fan either…

Pretty stupid take by Stamkos. GMs need to make difficult decisions. 34 year old guys aren’t a priority. Briesbois is trying the impossible by keeping the team competitive for a long period of time. Being sentimental doesn’t work.

Was this an actual quote or an AI generated clip? Because I saw a video where Stamkos is very respectful towards Tampa.

I remember on a Barn Burner episode a while back, Rhett was implying that he heard stuff about Stamkos and that Tampa may not want him back that badly. It sounded like it was personality or attitude related. Seravalli disagreed and said he never heard anything like that, but Rhett was pretty adamant to the point he seemed pretty annoyed.

Frank just likes to disagree. I sat beside him on a plane a couple years back, and the entire time he was having arguments with his colleague about NHL stuff.
I get the sense that he wakes up ready to battle every morning and to make some fan bases angry. He definitely gives off "I am never wrong" vibes.

Depends on what he and his camp wants, I think it's ridiculous for them to ask for a huge raise and term after getting $5m for playing 33 games the last 2 years.

And if he only had the cap space for Stamkos or Hedman, I think he made the right call
