I considered getting a Flames licence plate but then I figured I’d be worried about getting vandalized in Edmonton. That’s pretty sad that it’s even an issue.

Definitely not worth it if you like your vehicle.

I don't post during the series (only posted once during the Kings-Oilers series). I do think this will be a close matchup. Boeser/Miller usually have strong outings against us so the key is to limit their chances.

No matter what happens, I'll post in the thread at the conclusion of this series.

Seravelli saying that Demko is out at minimum through game 4. Game 5 return at the earliest but that is probably pushing it according to his sources.

I am a little incredulous at the lack of respect shown the Canucks. SN's Canuck coverage dealt mostly with questions about controlling McBaby. I don't know how this series will end up, but this is getting pretty bad.

It's all recency bias and guzzling the Oiler kool-aid. The Oilers won a series against arguably the worst team in the playoffs, and they needed ridiculously lopsided officiating to do it. Suddenly the entire hockey media are proclaiming the Oilers as some kind of unstoppable juggernaut who are gonna steamroll their competition, because McDavid. Amazing how they all conveniently forget the fact that the 'Nucks won the division and have home ice. They're also a better team than LA at pretty much every position, including goaltending...even without Demko.

You just know the Canucks are using all of this as bulletin board material.

I really hope the Canucks embrace the disrespect that the media is giving them. Guys like Whitney should be bulletin board material. They won their division and yet are considerable underdogs in sportsbook and amongst the media

I have the flames plate on in Edmonton. No harm comes to my vehicle. Of course, I don't park outside virtually ever...

Yeah I'm pretty taken aback by the unanimous oiler love. It's like people learned nothing from other years.

Shouldn't there be more oilers distrust/doubt given how they've flopped every single year short of expectation?

LA isn't a good measuring stick for how any team will fare. About as close to a free pass to round 2 as you can draw. The difficulty level for McTyke will be ratcheted up quite a bit here.

It truly amazes me that at the start of every year we see the media pick Edmonton (or Toronto) to win it all yet they all have just watched those exact same teams fail (usually quite spectacularly) just months before. Then when we get here, playoff time, and they forget everything they should have learned or know.

Quite frankly, they're idiots.

Penticton Herald editor is my friend. I messaged him this morning about the sign controversy but he wasn’t aware.. I sent him several tweets and photos. Their story is just out.

If I’m ever in Penticton, I’ll make a concerted effort to eat at this BP’s, and make sure I tell them the reason is because of their sign that said Go Oilers. Although, I am disappointed that they switched the sign after pressure. People need to relax, it’s a free market and you should be able to outwardly cheer for whoever you like, wherever you are, without fear of social media black balling you. But 2024 is a different world than I grew up in, what do I know. Go Oilers.

I had a Flames license plate holder in Edmonton for 10 years and never had any issues with my truck, although I still have lingering mental issues from the experience myself.

McJesus & Co needed extra time for flopping and head snapping practice.
