I'm trying to figure out why northbound Deerfoot has been knocked down to 80 km/h from Douglasdale to the Calf Rope. They're doing construction on the Ivor Strong bridge, but there's absolutely nothing happening north of that. On the city's website it just talks about the improvements to Ivor Strong, Anderson/Bow Bottom ramps.

Is there anywhere else I can see anticipated work?

Huh, so I'm guessing that'll be starting right away. Looking forward to it being finished but it's going to be a painful commute for a while

They are also doing some spray patching on the roads, so they probably thought putting one big 80 zone in to calf robe was worthwhile. Especially between anderson/glenmore, no point in putting people back to 100 km/h for a 400m stretch.

It's been crappy for 15 years. The last time I went there the AC was out in the summer. are you kidding?

When they first built that, I thought that the Egyptian them with the Scarab beetle was pretty cool! I mean it was a few decades ago, so that explains why I thought that.
