Right when he came down i thought "they are just giving him a wide open look from the circle if he wants it"

Glad he found the range on the shot but the Flames (and most teams to be fair) are looking for that shot almost exclusively since goalies go down so quickly now, and a lot more often than not the shot goes high and around the boards. Helped in this case he could walk in on a 4 on 3 without much pressure, too.

He loves it here in Calgary too! I hope he’s here for a long time. He does everything you need to win. Plays PK, Carriers the puck on the PP. responsible defensively.

He’s getting Mangipane’s dollars when that cap hit is cleared.
