Probably too early to give up on this team. New players, adjusting to a new coach. Plus they have had the hardest strength of schedule. They will look more like a playoff team when they start playing more non-playoff teams.

Well, I said it before. If ...and that's a big IF, the Flames miss the playoffs, this is a great draft to do so.
I can also forgive a bad season given the shock of what happened over the off-season.

Even when the Flames do gain the zone with the puck, they just drive it to the side boards and corners. Such ugly hockey. It hurts my heart.

It really isn’t complicated. Team always stuck in “ win now” mode which leads to mediocre rosters in hopes they’re good enough to make the playoffs and go on a run when they could just rebuild and build a contender off high picks in the draft
