Personally I think all teams should have 4 uniforms: home, away, third, and fourth.

The home, away, and third should always be serious jerseys with a clean look. For the Flames I’d go with the ‘04 Reds as a third. These would be worn 7-8 times/year and can only be changed out every 5 years.

The fourth jersey, to be worn twice, is for fun jerseys like the RR program. Have some fun with them. This is where the NHL could do things like a colour rush jersey, or city themed jerseys. To avoid burnout, do a new theme every two years. This is where teams can have fun and experiment.
