Diving is a small thing that usually slanted fans accuse of. A general fan isn’t seeing diving.
And Dino is such a caricature of a hockey fan it’s hilarious.

I remember clear as day multiple NFL playoff broadcasts stating that it was harder to get PI calls in the playoffs. Guess what, they said it like it was a good thing! Hell, did you watch the Superbowl? Tee Higgins was getting draped through the corner of the end zone one play as had Odell the series before. Guys just said refs put their whistles away and you had to fight for your space because it was the super bowl. Then they called a couple chincey ones on the game winning drive and most people thought it was BS despite perhaps being according to the rule book.
Baseball is the most hilariously individually refereed game there is. Some guy stands behind a plate, establishes his own rules for the game and everyone tries to figure out what his strike zone is. Why do you think so many managers get kicked out of games?
Sounds like you're talking about basketball which I'm admittedly no expert in. But their postseason is dry, formulaic and predictable. I guarantee you no one wants that to happen in the NHL. The playoffs have always been the most unique and best part about the sport. They don't need changing.
Just the thought or implication that NHL playoffs should mimic NBA playoffs sickens me.
