Still just 19 and dealing with a back/hamstring injury. Can we wait a little bit before we write the career epitaph?

Where did I say her career was over? She's struggled after the US Open has she not? It's just a similar script as whether it's injuries or poor play it seems hard times follow their breakthrough tournaments for Canadian female players.

Did you watch the match and all the unforced errors? She may not be 100% but she was not good out there at all.

Inglis was also directing the ball into corners like a top 3 player, repeatedly. Any main draw player is capable of that in short bursts, it just sucks when it happens against you. If it wasn’t best of 3, a healthier Leylah might have had time to wait it out. You could already see the BS coming off Inglis’ racquet starting to wear off by the end.

Every time I hear the colour analyst pronounce Felix's last name, I am picturing the following:

That looked like an angry break back at love by Felix.

Felix was down a break, then wins three straight games and is serving for the opening set at 5-4

Edit: Seals the first set with an ace.

Oh my, that Felix backhand down the line followed by a loud yell.

Edit: Big hold there to stop a seven game run by his opponent.

Well, Felix will need to go five sets if he wants to advance to round 2.

My goodness, what a great hold from love-40 down by Felix to consolidate. That's a dagger to his Finnish opponent.
