Amos again. Punches the ball, scared of contact. I dont watch a lot of CFL but he sure sticks out immediately

I'm a fan of Amos, but he has been brutal today.

1-4, 9 games remaining, 6 of them on the road. Things not looking good, to say the least.
By the law of averages, eventually you're going to have a season like this. It is what it is.

DaShaun Amos had one of the worst days a Stampeder DB has had in modern history. Either a receiver was running away from him or he was missing tackles. You can argue the team never had a chance because of him. Take away an all-time worst performance at that position I thought they played a close game as this is simply a bad football team. 2nd worst receiver group in the CFL and not a single star player on defense. I have been saying this since before the season started that I just don't know what the plan was this season as you just can't let your best players leave year after year without using free agency to bring back quality starters.

Not really in this case. Huff chose this team. There was a crazy amount of free agents available this offseason due to unprecedented times and he chose to sit out and watch the rest of the league outside of Ottawa get better. Not a single player on offense that scares defenses and the defensive line has as many roughing the passer penalties as sacks. For whatever reason maybe it's strategic or cost cutting from CSEC or Huff decided to sit this season out and use this as an evaluation season for younger players.

I hope people don’t blame the coach. This is a rebuilding roster.

I can argue this is one of DD's best seasons. They have been competitive in every game despite Bo not being healthy, an expansion quality roster, and having a rookie go head to head against experience QB's like Harris and Collaros. I like Maier but the guy is limited by his arm strength and can't make all the throws. Dickenson has done a great job putting in an offense that suits his limitations but the receivers just aren't very good.

This was the first game of this season where the Stamps D let them down, they have kept them in every game prior to today.

It was a pretty tasteless tweet from the Elks account about Calvin McCarty still being winless in the Labour Day Classic - It was one of those "How it started" showing him with Edmonton and "How it's going" now with the Stamps.

I haven't watched much Stamps football this season, but the display of poor tackling they put on in the 4th today was awful. You can't win with that level of execution.

Yes. The game was lost on the 30 yard run from the 10 with 5 minutes left. What a disaster

There were a couple of things that stood out for me, while more then a couple of things
1) Yeah the tackling especially in the 4th quarter was god awful. I thought I was watching a peewee team trying to tackle a high school player.
2) Our receivers continue to drop easy passes way to often. I don't get that.
3) Our secondary scheme is poor. The Elks talked about recognizing the coverage that the Stamps kept running on screens and Ellingston drew up a coverage buster on the sidelines. Our DB's seem to be constantly caught in chase position on long routes.

I think the all teams decided in the off season to bring salaries to the salary cap floor, and then some teams renegged. Actually, many teams did - especially Toronto. When it comes to the cap and bringing in talent to the betterment of the league, the Stampeders have been the best. Now it is hurting them.
How much better would they be if they had Eric Rogers and Charleston Hughes? I am hoping they get Beggelton back and Vaughters (though he was added to a PR).

I think they all did outside of Calgary and Ottawa who appear to be spending less then the rest of the league. Elks signed Derrick Moncrief from the NFL yesterday and he can't be cheap. I'm not convinced this isn't a CSEC decision to cut back spending with all their teams as the Flames haven't spent to the cap ceiling this season.
