I think Lucic taking out Nurse for 5 minutes is good for the Flames, since the Oilers's D is already so shallow; but the Neal-Tkachuk fight removes one of our top-6 players, so we lose on that one.

Well, he's stepping around the obvious thing, that he's done a crap job of finding coaches. Lots of things he can't say at this point.
I did like what he said in the presser though, that basically Darryl's here for keeps, and the players better get used to it (cuz Darryl's more important than any particular player). It was a real clear message, I thought. "We're bringing this guy in to get some asses kicked."

Smith is Ok when he doesn’t have to move. Laterally is how you score on him. I think he actually goes off balance moving E-W (hence the belly flop).
The goal wasn’t even that quick a pass - he just doesn’t get there in good position.
