After the two game set against the Leafs, they play 5 out of 6 against Ottawa, so not out of the realm of possibility.
The question is whether getting throttled in the next two games will result in a change, or simply more of the same tired cliches about being more attentive to detail and playing more invested.
I’ll add, with Monahan out we’re probably closer to Ottawa than anyone else in this division, so it’s not like those are guaranteed wins either.

For all we know maybe Tkachuk was starting to say something that would come back to haunt him and Gelinas told him to be careful.
Many different things could have occurred in an incident that we can't find video.

Maybe this has been discussed, but wasn't there an incident between Ward + Ass. Coach (Gelinas?) and a player off camera (Tkachuk?) after goal 4 or 5? Broadcasters noticed it...are these things being conflated?
Anyways, McAvi was on the ice with ~35 AHLers last night.

It was great. Finished it off by saying if the coaching doesn’t get a lot better, Brad Treliving may be looking for a new coach.

Elliott should get a job with TMZ
There is no clip, and if there is there certainly isn't audio. There are enough problems without making things up. Gelly just as easily could have said "see, one fight and the whole thing is done right there" or something to that effect

Interesting game, Flames generate lots of shots.
However many were poor attempts that was fired directly at the goalie. The lack of skill within the Flames forward ranks is glaring obvious
However the Oilers ability to pick corners and make perfect shots was very noticeable …..

Rewound to that part of the game looks like Chucky is either saying "lets go baby", or "lights out baby"' Gelina's could just have been sharing a joke with Matt for all we know. Nothing to see here.

Oh they bring in Francis where he tells us Ward is a good coach and fans that have never been a head coach should never question his ability because they don't know what they are talking about. This coming from the same guy that's never played professional hockey that tells us Monahan and Gaudreau don't want to win.

CGY has played poorly against teams that clog nz: EDM, WPG, VAN, MTL.
Against TOR who play up tempo the games were close and entertaining.
Poor player performance by different guys (vets,Tkachuk, etc) at different times has not helped.
Battling through things has not been consistent. It's a tough go right now no doubt. Too many things out of sync/not consistent (lines included be it injury or wanting spark).
Hoping this is a unifying moment: coaches and players collectively open to make requisite changes.
