Gaudreau? Well he's been outstanding to start this year so I really am not sure what you're upset about.
The Flames out-chanced the Oilers 18-14 tonight after a rough start. I can live with that all day long.

He works with a speedy tenacious other winger and Center who can skate for sure

Monahan, the top line C. The straw that should be stirring the drink. But doesn't.
Gauderau's been great and even though he has been terrible in the playoffs it's mostly because he has no C to play off of. Would love to see him play with a real top line C.

his best season came with Iginla and Krejci IIRC. Comparing Iggy and Eatbread I think the similarity is more that both like the cycle game. The Krejci/Back similarities are more obvious.

Lindholm is functioning as the team's 1C right now though and he has 13 points to lead the team.
Heck, Monahan has 10 points, too.

Lucic and Mangiapane both live in the hard areas. Monahan too. That guy has made a living standing his ground in between the hashmarks taking a beating.

Johnny said Mony picked the puck out of the air before passing it up on his goal.

Monahan isn’t that guy, and never will be, but overall he’s been pretty good this season.
Hes been carrying the puck much more and his passing has been much better this season and he’s actually created a lot of offensive opportunities with nice passes.
Also he’s been much more engaged defensively and has been stronger in that aspect as well doing a lot of the little things well and winning a lot more of the puck battles.
He’s not McDavid, Mackinnon, or a Center if that caliber, but he’s still a damn good player and does a lot of the little things right.
