I will literally ban him from watching Flame games. I will encourage him to become a die hard Oilers fan.

To be fair I didn’t think he was very good in the first two games to be honest either.

If the Flames are best in the league at over the last decade, it’s losing games in hand. It’s our kiss of death.

Edmonton is terrible and will be in perpetuity, but some of the same who were guffawing at the over reactions from thier fans late last week are being equally as melodramatic 4 periods on about the Flames.

Derek Ryan had something like 10 goals, 30 points, and was a plus player last year.

He’s not the answer, but hardly the problem.

He’s playing with one guy who doesn’t believe in offence and another who might be the worst player in the league. Maybe start there.

We have a lot of baggage with this rendition of the Flames.

We added a goalie (which is huge), but the core forwards/defenceman of this team have been exposed as being bad players at 5v5, have wild consistency issues, and a proven record of not showing up to games. It is tough to let go of stuff like that as a fan.

I've yet to see it. Its why a guy like Simmonds would of been perfect. *checks score app* whats that he scored on us in each game? Its almost like truculence against a soft team pays off or something.

2 of the 3 guys he named aren't even on the active roster and the 3rd guy has been a liability lately.

Seeing the replay of Gaudreau's attempted pass on the 2 on 1 - he put no effort into it, whatsoever.

I've always found that the peaks and valleys are more extreme in the early stages of seasons here because the sample size is so small but everybody wants to read into it wholely.

In reality every decent team takes a month or more of playing games to get up to speed more or less (and that's WITH a pre-season).

We had no exhibitions, started cold, then got dished a long break while every one else was playing and working their kinks out. Now we're working ours out against a team that much more in a rhythm.

Talk to me in a week of games every second night and then we can start to discuss where the team is at.

Drawing conclusions right now when the rust is obvious is totally asinine.

Mikheyev with a dive for the ages

Simmonds has a really ugly stride

Ryan’s penalty was a joke

Awful first period

13 periods of hockey so far, and 4 of them in the past 9 days. You figure it's a 8 game losing streak.
