My understanding is that the writers planned out a story over a 3-season arc.
So this is supposed to be the end of it.
Unless they hit it out of the park so hard that they 'Lost' this thing...

I just started watching this a few days ago. Been binging it as I haven't been feeling well. I wasn't expecting to like it, usually avoid hyped shows because they're not usually as good as everyone says. I effing love this show.
I'm on the last episode of season 2. I have disliked the Nate character from the hop and clearly there was good reason to. When I saw Rupert in his ear during the funeral episode, that sealed it. Little turd.

Bit of a tangent, but when you sign up for Apple make sure you watch Severance if you haven’t yet. Amazing show.
As is Ted Lasso. I hope the shows’ new seasons overlap so I can soak up the goodness in one subscription period.

And Black Bird is better than both those shows and Ted Lasso. Bad Sisters is good too.
At this point apple has way better programming than Netflix.

We switched back to Shaw the second our contract was up with Telus and took advantage of the 3 free months of Apple TV+. The free trial is up next week but we're keeping it. We've watched so much on there.

Good start. Already feels like we will get more laughs than season 2.
Am curious if Nate will have a downfall or a redemption arc.

It’s Ted Lasso. Do you really have to ask? Redemption.

It’ll be pretty tough to redeem Nate for me. Given the opportunity of a lifetime he never would have dreamed of and he’s just a sad sack whiner the whole time. We’ve seen his relationship with parents. Not great, but not enough to warrant his a-holery IMO. There’d have to be a pretty good reason.
I just can’t see myself caring if he finds himself facedown in the gutter by the end. People were a little mean to you for a while? Boo hoo

Thats the beauty of 'Independent Media.'
If you dont like them they're small enough to be suppressed and supplanted with a more informed, more 'in line' representative.
Media Credentials are easily revoked.

Loved it. Although the vibe definitely gives off a "this is the last season" vibe pit of the gates.
I do love the Ted Vs. Nate thing is shaping up. The fragile ego turned cruel bully vs. The fragile ego constantly fighting himself with unrelenting positivity.
Love that Nates fuel is his desperate need of approval from everyone OTHER than Ted.

Not sure how they will redeem Nate. I know they redeemed Rebecca and Jamie already but those characters were given back stories that made their character arcs believable. Nate is just an angry man and I wonder if instead of redemption we get Ted having to realize not everyone can be saved.
Did have to laugh in the first episode over the surprise a newly promoted team that made no off season improvements was predicted to finish last. Of course it's tough to take these predictions seriously when they also predict West Ham to finish top 4 just because of a new owner and manager.

Why not? Lots of pundits just did the exact same thing with Newcastle.
I think Nate is going to get worse before he gets better, but it seems like his most intrinsic feeling at the moment is loneliness and he's probably going to figure out that being a complete prick all the time isnt going to win him a lot of friends.
My prediction is that he's eventually come to the realization that he cant be enough of an ass to stay friends with the jerk-squad and he's going to change his ways.
Essentially a 'Jamie Tart' redux.

He's going to make an unforgivably awful public blunder(probably coaching a big game against AFC Richmond) that sees him fired, shamed, and crawling back to Ted for redemption.
