Unreal by the Flames, picking up right where they left off in game four against the Jets.
Backlund won’t get much credit on the first goal but his drive through the neutral zone and tying up the Stars’ defender’s stick were both attention-to-detail plays you need against a tight checking team.
Dube showing off the offensive ability he showed in junior and the AHL. As his defensive game rounds out he’s gonna be a beast! Still surprised so many voted Kylington above him last summer for some reason, too.

Gaudreau has looked fine. He hasn't been a game changer, but he hasn't looked bad either. He made some good choices on the PP. 1st period of the first series, there won't be much to report.

That was an amazing period! Crazy fast pace to get going, and those two goals were beauties.

I'm really enjoying playoff Monahan. Aside from his faceoffs I think he's been carrying the puck more and creating more. They need Johnny to wake up and that line will take off.
With the lower lines taking the pressure off I hope Johnny can find his playoff game, he definitely has it in him (hat trick against the big bad kings anyone?)

First line has been too quiet outside of the PP, BUT they have been more responsible and it's obvious that they're making a collective effort to not give up anything on their shifts.

Gaudreau looked like a liability out there, also Dube is the future of this club in my opinion. We better protect him in the expansion draft!

With Ward's support Lucic is making Treliving look like a genius.

Her analysis has been on point and really interesting going back to the Jets games. She’s not as charismatic as Kelley but she does her homework and makes meaningful contributions to the conversation IMO.

Also, how about Lucic, Mr. Point-Per-Game, looking like Adam Oates with that cross-ice feed?!

Agreed, I'm not sure why people are singling him out. He's been fine. The top line had a couple decent shifts, but they could stand to elevate their game.

Truculent!

Let's not forget that Gaudreau is going up against the top pairing and top lines and Dube is feasting on the PP and a pretty dismal bottom pair defense pair.
Not to take away from him, but you are comparing apples to oranges when you are comparing the situations the two players are up against.
