Fischer now with 2 bombs. Jays with a nice comeback, now winning 8-6.

Fisher getting hits in a meaningless game but won’t get hits in the actual season

Oh Fischer. The Jays already have Rasmus 2.0 in Grichuk, we don’t need version 3.0 too.

Dolis with a nasty splitter. I thought reports said he had more heat though....93 is not impressive at all.

Of course after I call put Fischer early on the game he goes yard twice.

Pearson made some nice adjustments.

I thought Borucki looked alright was throwing harder than I remember, might have been because he was in on relief and he had the adrenalin going.

I think Jansen is going to have a break out year this year.

Well. Couldn’t ask for a better looking backdrop than that. Thank you Pittsburgh. Go Jays!

I am glad that they will be playing out an MLB ball park, just trying to wrap my head around how sharing a stadium and it's facilities with another team will. Things like bullpen sessions, BP, field practice. If you have two home teams and two away teams in the same city how is everyone supposed to social distance.

It's still a bizarre situation, and I realize it's the nature of the reality we are living in, but it's still bizarre.

The worst part about all of this is you have a young team in the Jays and all their young talent is basically losing a year of development, and now not having a true home field will cost more development time for the team. I still think it was the right move by the Canadian government, it just sucks as a Jays fan.

It might best to get all of the young guys who are close to the majors into the majors now so they can at least play games and develop as opposed to hanging out in Buffalo and practicing.

I watched a couple innings last night. Feels so strange watching without the crowd.

I was watching the game on mute since I was also working at the time. Are they planning to be/were they already piping in crowd noises?

See I found that after the 1st inning I didn't even notice the there wasn't any fan in the stands, I enjoyed the game like it was any other, well aside from the fact that we had to listen to the Red Sox broadcast.

They had it piped in last night I thought. Comes through as white noise more than anything.

I would assume the idea is that the Jays are there when the Pirates are not. I just looked at the schedules and it works out amazingly well for the first 6 weeks:

https://content.mlb.com/documents/1/...n_Schedule.pdf

https://mktg.mlbstatic.com/bluejays/...hedule_tor.pdf

The first conflict is July 29, then Sept. 8-9. Then there is a bigger one Sept. 21-24. Not much room to re-sched these dates but there are fewer dates to work around than I would have thought. Turn a couple games into double headers and/or have day/night games on the conflict days. Baseball is used to that so it is doable.

I am just glad they are in a major league park and a pretty one is a bonus!

Can't have doubleheaders as four teams cannot be in the stadium at one time. Unless you have a really early morning game and a really late night game.

I think the Jays just play those games in the other teams park. I think 2 are against the Nationals and 6 are against the Yankees.

I've been kind of out of it as a Blue Jays fan lately as I consider myself a very fair weather fan (sadly). Baseball can be very hard for me to completely pay attention to when we are losing. I know we were basically rebuilding last year, but I'd like to know any key information about the team, players, prospects, and the expectations on what you die hards think we should be accomplishing. I know a few players (like the 3 prodigal sons), but I don't know enough about my team. Would some of you like to enlighten me on the 2020 Jays? I'll be reading 19 pages that are already on here too but I do like to see your opinions.

This has been so poorly planned and put together by MLB.

The idea that one team would have to play all their games on the road, is absurd. Regardless of fans, the Jays would have to do more travelling than other teams, would have no home base for their players, not to mention putting the players and staff at increased risk.

I really want baseball back, but this plan was destined to fail.
