3am and I’m still amped up! Love beating that team!
Few thoughts tonight:
1. Kassian is a joke. Absolutely disgusting play. Better get suspended but doubt he will.
2. Edmonton media is ridiculous. Someone needs to give them a collective smack upside the head.
3. The “Welcome back Mike Smith and James Neal” thing was cringe and awkward. We don’t need to do that for every player that played here, especially for someone who essentially stole $5.75 million dollars from the team. Screw that. Save the welcoming committee for franchise players and fan favourites.
4. Draisaitl is the most overrated player in the game. Absolutely useless without McDavid.
5. Tkachuk and Andersson are awesome and I love them.
I hate everything about the Oilers. I hate their players, I hate their fans, I hate their media, and I hate the dump of a city they play in. I feel like the happiest guy in the world tonight. I will sleep well for the foreseeable future.

Love some of these morons praising Kassian and insulting Tkachuk. Kassian just cost his team the game and is half the player Tkachuk is. Kassian is a liability. Only a moron would take Kassian over Tkachuk

Well call me a moron then.
If rat boy was on the Oilers I’d still dislike him. That play style is a scourge on the game

I'm not sure if Bieksa is trolling or if he doesn't know that the you can't uniquely solve two variables with one equation. Best you can do is simplify it to a line, which is practically re-stating the problem.
It really is amazing when you see what the Edmonton "professional" writers throw up.
Mark Spector, Jim Matheson, and Rob Tychkowski are all emotional, pissy fanboys who throw embarrassing tantrums publically non-stop. Hell, until very recently Mark Spector was the President of the Professional Hockey Writers' Association.
They all make Eric Francis look like a Pulitzer prize winner.
You can even extend it to their TV crew of Gene Principe, Kevin Quinn, and Drew Remenda who are all equally amateur-hour.
Compare their crew of embarrassments to actual professionals like Scott Cruickshank, Darren Haynes, Kristen Anderson, Wes Gilbertson, Jermain Franklin, Ryan Leslie, Rick Ball, and Kelley Hrudey. It's completely night and day.

Tychkowski gets some credit from Flames fans because he was funny when the Oilers sucked but he’s honestly the most embarrassing of all of them. Absolutely brutal takes and a complete fanboy.
I don’t have an issue being a fan of the team you’re covering but my God does that guy ever whine a lot.
Absolutely nobody in Calgary media would take the direct personal shots at Oiler players like he does. Both Kassian vs Tkachuk incidents he made tweets regarding Tkachuk’s personal character. He’s completely unprofessional and a total embarrassment to whatever garbage outlet employs him.
Tychkowski says Tkachuk's character took a beating? How? He won the game for the Flames simply by throwing a clean hit. He doesn't need to fight after doing that. Apart from sticking up for your teammates, when is fighting an indicator of good character anyway?
I wonder what Tychkowski thinks about Kassian's character after tonight. Probably a hero.
Great performance by the Flames. Typical Oiler performance. Score flattered the Oilers and could have been even worse. McDavid is still the most dangerous player in the game, for both teams. Incredibly skilled and fast, but only plays hard toward the opposition net. He's dangerous on every rush, but he's equally dangerous for the Oilers because he doesn't play any defense.
Flames really played well. Not a bad performance by a Flame player IMO. All of the "kids" were fantastic tonight. Andersson and Kylington were awesome with the exception of one shift. Dube and Mangipane were good in both ends and put pressure on the Oilers all night. Bennett even looked good. Most important thing is that Bennett didn't take any penalties, unlike his counterpart wearing 44 for the Oilers. Tkachuk needs no praise. His awesomeness can be seen from space. Was really impressed by our young guys. Great win!
It’s safe to say that when the score is a tie or one goal game, you just don’t take a stupid penalty to give the other team a PP. You keep your temper in check and stay disciplined. Coaches know this, Fans know this, Everyone at the NHL level knows this
Except for Caveman Kass
An average intelligent person would look back and realize he got played and let his temper get the best of him. In sports, it’s understandable to act in the heat of the moment. The best part of all this is Kassian, cooled off and had a bit of time to reflect, responds to the press saying “that was fun, I would totally do that again”
Lol! Truly a Neanderthal who still haven’t figured it out
I’d contrast the Kassian hissy fit with the Flames response. They knew they couldn’t retaliate because we were only up 1. We have cerebral players and it shows.
God I was praying for an empty net goal so Lucic could hand out some consequences.
Funny how in Oil land Tkachuk is the only rat in this incident. Everyone just forgets that Kassian is one of the cheapest and dirtiest payers in the nhl. A no talent goon that was just about out of the league before a last place garbage team took him off the streets.
The headlines should be about a goon assaulting an all-star because that's exactly what happened. That is where the outrage should be directed.

Look to me as soon as he horse collared MT flung him to the ice and started throwing punches at a vulnerable player its no better then a sucker punch. The league needs to look at it, they won't but they should.
Plus this guy is a repeat offender being suspended multiple times, including a 8 game suspension for a disgusting face breaking of Gagner.
To me this should be at least a 5 game suspension, it sounds harsh but this idiot clearly doesn't learn and to me tonight was a really dangerous play on his part.
They should be looking at it, it's very similar to the play where Steve Moore suffered a broken neck. Rag-dolling him like that was a little over-the-top.
Really impressed with Mangiapane and Kylington tonite. Felt the score flattered the oilers a bit. They only had a handfull of good O-zone shifts in the first two periods.
And that RNH goal was a gift from the Hockey Gods.
