One year, right around 2.5M AAV is what Steinberg believes the deal will look like. Believes Rittich will come in around the same from an AAV perspective.

I don't think the stats will show like they do for Edmonton. Those were just not very good goalies (outside of JS Giguerre) to begin with...
You are right. So they instead, sign with the Flames, and their career's literally die. The Flames are the graveyard and the Oilers are just a horrible test.

Okay maybe it's not that bad, but other than Kiprusoff, the Flames have not had a nice stretch of good goaltending. I certainly hope that Rittich/Talbot can put a solid stop to that trend if that's the Flame's goalie tandem for next season.
The Flames are better than the Oilers in almost every way, but goaltending has been very close...especially when you take into consideration how much better our defense has been over the years.

Presumably, on a longer term for Rittich?

I'm impressed you've discovered Back to the Future being a younger guy. Kudos to you for having good taste in movies!

Have you read the Back to the Future novelization? That's the craziest book I've ever read. There are full chapters of walking.

Goaltending duo for around 5 million dollars for next year? That can be a steal, if Talbot has even a slight bounce back, which I think is possible.

He has already had his pit stop to separate him from his Oilers failures.

Is a goaltending duo for around 5 million dollars for next year a steal? Working to confirm

Seems a touch high for Talbot, but a touch low for Rittich, so I'm happy!

I dont hate it but I would have given Smith another chance, however I do not think any of those goalies will be elite.

At this point I'm willing to settle for above average, and it's possible either goalie can do that next season.

There appears to be a glitch in the CP matrix.

I'm ok with this move. I'm also fairly confident that Rittich could be a legit starter this season. He made some big strides last year and seemed to get more confident the more he played. I'm guessing he'll only get better.

And if Talbot can have a bounce back year, I think we'll be in good shape heading into the season. Poor guy played in front of two of the worst defences last year. Hopefully the Flames will be a better fit for him.
