There was a shot from the point mid-way through the 3rd. Smith acted like it was totally unexpected, flailed with his arms and then flopped on his belly. I was watching the game from a bar (in Montreal) and yelled WTF ARE YOU DOING? That’s sums up the season. How can one be surprised with that awful putrid 3rd goal when there’s adventures like that every period. Apologies for not remembering more details, I needed a few drinks to get over that game.
How many other goalies in 2018 end up on their bellies flailing around on a regular basis? NONE! Smith - good competitor, better than Elliot (?) but done done done.
If someone could find a gif of that shot I’m describing it will put an end to anyone defending Smith. He cannot be trusted.

Hrudey called it a ‘wonderful reactionary save’ (there was no screen and it was a wrist shot from 40 ft out).
