Mostly for the abuse. Seriously thought I don't recall a disclaimer on sign up that made me agree to cheer for the Flames in the playoffs?

I guess I'm confused. If the Flames were in the playoffs, you'd cheer against them. Thats what I got out of your last message. If I'm mistaken, my apologies.
If I'm correct then, while you didn't sign a disclaimer, you did seek out a Calgary Flames fan site, signed up, and contribute to a site run by and for Calgary Flames fans yet have no affinity whatsoever to the Calgary Flames?

It's because CP is awesome. Even the unwashed masses can see that much.

It's typical.
We had a lot more active canuck fans when they had a contender. Now you only see a handful of them post periodically.
Same thing with oiler fans (except for the part where they were a contender, more just a one year flash in the pan) but mostly it's just a few regulars posting.
Now the jets have a contender and are going on a run, so you notice their fans posting more and more.

The only other Canadian team I don't cheer against in the playoffs is Ottawa. But I can't say I cheer for them either. I don't really have a dislike for Montreal but my dad is a Bruins fan so I grew up in a household where cheering for them is a big no-no.
I probably wouldn't care about the Jets run if I didn't encounter so many obnoxious fans. Being excited your team is doing good is fine but there's a line before it starts getting annoying. Like my cousin for instance. She doesn't just make a post on Facebook after every win. It's every goddamn goal with a picture of her stupid goal light cup. It didn't take me long to put her and a bunch of other people on my 30 day ignore list.

Earlier this year, that was my dilemma, who to cheer for if they meet in the playoffs. Problem solved once the Flames didn't make it.
Seriously though, VGK@CGY games were the most fun I've had this year cheering for both teams. I was happy with either outcome and just enjoyed the game of hockey. That and our season ticket neighbors and I smack talking each other made it that much more entertaining.

Jets fan who would cheer for the Oilers over the Flames? WTF? Why post here...God now I really want your team to fail

So many hurt feelings. Why would you care in what order I'd want to see Canadian teams to win the cup? I'm just a Jets fan right? Why does my opinion matter? Go back to your million dollar homes

I'm totally fine if you wouldn't cheer for the Canucks or Flames going back to the old Smythe Division days but why in the hell would you ever cheer for the Oilers? Makes absolutely no sense.

I would be ok with them up to the western final then i'd like, no, i dont want them to win the cup.
I'm fine with that because when whenever I go to Edmonton to see a Jets game their fans were always awesome to me and other Jets fans. During the 1st 3 seasons when the Jets were back I traveled a lot to see them and people at Flames games were only outdone by Rangers fans for being the most unwelcoming border line belligerent. Just my experience and could be isolated, but it is what it is. And I hated the Oilers growing up.

It sounds like you are more annoyed than anyone else.
You were trying to preach on the previous page that Canadians should get behind the Jets by posting that article. Most people here are indifferent or don’t want them to win as most Canadian fan bases would rather have their team to be the first Canadian team to break the drought. For you to come on another teams forum and try and act all surprised at people being irritated by a gloating Jets fan than you are just naive or trying to stir the pot. I really don’t care what you post but don’t act surprised.

Ya your making a lot of incorrect assumptions. I'll politely disagree and move on. I'm not going to change your mind. Or your maturity. Oh see what i did there.

I edited my previous post because I did not think that was the correct use of wording. Naive is better. I don’t see what I posted was making assumptions, I’ve seen your posts and they generally are you talking to yourself about the Jets. Nothing wrong with that but don’t be shocked when people get irritated, as this is a Flames forum and the Flames had a poor year, so to see another Canadian team making a run isn’t exactly fun to watch. Do you want us to blow sunshine’s up the Jets ass constantly or what?
Since I’ve been a poster here the large majority of non-Flames fan users who post in the hockey forum generally like to stir the pot. Don’t be surprised when people question why you are posting here when you have no affiliation with Calgary or the Flames and when there are multiple Jets forums around.

A Jets fan, a filthy Oilers sympathizer... and then you give yourself a couple pats on the back to boot?

Well if white out is only here because the Jets are good, he sure is dedicated to the long con.
Forum member for 5 1/2 years and 4600 posts, that’s some serious dedication just to brag when the team gets good.
It’s also bizarre that certain people demand that CP only be a pro Flames echo chamber. I’m happy to read about what other fans think of their team, I just wish there were more of them. We all ridicule HF, then get angry when anyone comes here instead of HF. It’s not like other teams trolling our board is even remotely an issue.

I have no issues with fans of other teams contributing to the forum. I also sometimes imagine what it would be like joining a Jets or an Oilers focused forum and realize how weird that would be. But CP is kickass so I get it.

He's no AlbertaOiler that's for sure, but he certainly posts at a much more rapid rate this past season. I wonder why that is?
I really don't care, and I certainly didn't say this place should be a Flames echo chamber, so I certainly hope that comment wasn't directed at me.

I don’t know, Flames fans post more when we are on a deep playoff run (or failing miserably). No surprise people post more when the extremes happen.
As for the echo chamber it was not directed at you, some of the other responses this page.
