Would think getting the match ups would really benefit the flames but they look so, so bad on home ice. They’ll dictate play for good portions but zero finish, too cute, etc etc

Actually, they showed Gulutzan yelling obscenities at the ref.

Bizarre Homer nonsense complaining about that penalty against Gio.

The Flames will continue to piss away home games until no home fans come in, which will make them feel like they are playing away home This is pathetic strategy

Probably GG's greatest weakness he does little to no game management. I'm really trying to like the guy but seeing him stare at that stupid ####ing tablet all the time is really grinding my gears.

As bad as that call was, I have a hard time blaming the refs for how this game has gone. If the Flames' offence had any finish whatsoever, or if they had actually come out of the gate with a decent effort in the 1st, we likely wouldn't even be talking about the officiating.
Once again, the Flames are shooting themselves in the foot, over-thinking things and letting the opposition hang around in their own barn. Same old story with these guys.

If Gio held the stick, it was only because he was falling AFTER Boeser gave him a giant hook. How that could be a single penalty on Gio? Frankly, that ref should never ref a game in the NHL again.

Im at the game and all I could see from my seats is him staring at the floor (not saying he didn’t, I just didn’t see it from him up).

I don't like how they took back the both call (don't indicate it in the first place), but in the end it was the right call.
|
It's the jackass move of changing the initial call that burns my bacon. If they called gio off the bat fine but don't just let one ref override the other after the fact.

Come on, it's not that clear cut. I don't disagree that much with the call, but you sure could make a good case for a hooking on Boeser.

Dunno what it is about home ice that makes everyone with the puck so frightened to pull the trigger.

Nick Kypreos doesn't mind Marchand targeting the head. How surprising.

What? He was screaming incessantly at the refs on that call, the camera showed it. He actually screams at the refs a lot these days.

Like the Hathaway penalty, I thought that was two players coming together, interfering with each other, defending player trying to stop offence player, how only Gio got called?

Why is this kind of game so predictable under this coaching staff? How do these flat efforts keep happening?

Why does GG uses Stajan to kill penalty? Just because he plays on the 4th line doesn't mean he can kill penalty. He is too weak and too slow.
