Duchene hasn't proved anything in the playoffs either. Plus, Bennett will come in cheaper the next few years which will help keep Backlund and Tkachuk.

I'm a Bennett fan but his ceiling can't be much higher than what Duchene is right now and I like Duchene's contract.
Will Bennett ever make team Canada in th olympics/World Cup? Probably not

I thought it was funny when Bertuzzi came here but if Burrows were to ever play for us, I would definitely not warm up to him and would openly boo him at the dome.
He is a gutless weasel and would be a poor influence on our young guys.

Was at the flames' luncheon today and Burke opened up a Q&A session.
When asked if flames were looking for a goaltender, he said:
1) Although Elliott's stats may suggests otherwise, but his recent play is the Elliott they know over the last 5 years.
2) Elliott had a rough start to begin the year, he could stand on his head the rest of the way and still not be able to bring his stats up.
3) In summary, Flames were not in the trade market for goaltenders - most likely due to the recent play of Elliott.

What else is he going to say? "Oh yeah, we went hard after another goalie but came up short. I guess we'll have to live with what we have."
I realize that you're just the messenger so this is not a personal attack, but too often we get "inside information" from these sessions presented to these boards as gospel. To think this is anything but a scripted, filtered response is naïve.
