I think it's more that it's tough to adapt and stick to the system after years of free wheeling hockey, especially with a lot of young guys who only had played in the NHL in that system.
Don't at all think this group doesn't want to play the system, think it's just been a steep learning curve and a lack of confidence and gripping the stick too tight is what caused a lot of issues.
Also think it's why somebody like Hamilton seems to have adapted quicker to the new system, he learned how to play in the NHL in strict system under Julien so it's why he was avle to adapt quicker.

Right, but I also think "the system" doesn't work against every single other team the same way. These players have learned many of them on their journey to the pros.
It's also possible for there to be multiple systems so teams can't get a good read on what you're doing.
