No he just sucks against good players, I'll be shocked if he gets over this and ever gets higher than 3rd.

Outside of one game in the second set, he never put Nadal under pressure on his serve, and Nadal is not exactly a great server. Just nowhere near good enough. Not much to take from this loss either, and a lot of what ifs given how kindly the draw broke for him.

Damn I was expecting to be up late watching an epic 5 setter.

Milos has come along way to round out his game but is still far too reliant on the serve and it was pretty poor he couldn't break once. Rafa played great but to echo Clay Davis it's not like he is exactly known for his serve.

Nadal being back in form is good for tennis but man this is a match that Raonic has to win if he's going to get that elusive grand slam title. The stars were aligned for him in this tournament being the top remaining seed.

I really don't like the word personally, but when you squander six set points (including double-faulting up 6-5 in the tie-breaker), it's apropos. Just a golden opportunity wasted to win a grand slam, this one is gonna sting for some time.

That's a rather idiotic take in context given Raonic beat Nadal in two of their previous three meetings.

Big disappointment today though. He should have done much better.
