So frustrating to watch your team be completely dominated on special teams for a second year in a row. It has to be fixed.

Comebacks happen with coaches who know how to orchestrate them and recognize the flow of the game.

Our coach is the buffoon who probably thinks Alex Chiasson is the solution to our scoring woes.

Thats why
You'll never guess where the Flames PP sat this time last year.

Hint: It's the same as this year.

Two different coaching staffs, same result. Third time's the charm?

The team is bad, it's a group of plugs outside of a couple of guys. There's nothing to do but wait.

these special teams make me want to puke.

that whole game-killing sequence was started, however, off of an unassertive monahan allowing a zone entry, completely blowing a routine zone exit, and stranding his tired linemates on a long change. there was no reason that monahan-brouwer should have been the forwards on the 4 on 4.

gulutzan's favouritism is as bad as hartleys. disgusting, frustrating period

Has Dave Cameron ever not coached one of the worst powerplays in whatever league he's coaching in?

Dave Cameron is a dinosaur, send him to the museum in Drumheller.

But seriously next time BT is on, the media guys need to pin him about the PP/PK and ask if he thinks it's acceptable. And if not, whether he's just giving Dave Cameron time to figure it out or if he's going to do something about it. Cause you can't do a worse job than DC has to this point.

Monahan is dragging his line down, and giving the game away. I don't know what to do with him but every minute when he is on the ice the other team has offensive zone entry easily. Bennett and Brower just cannot carry #23's dead weight for now. Can we sit him please?

Please fire whoever is in charge of both special teams. My gawd, just play freestyle on the teams, no system. it couldn't be any worse, could it?

On the plus side... they're only down by 2 goals with a full period to go. That, and my room service was delicious.

So it's not all bad.

Sorry guys but Gully ain't the issue... 5-on-5 you can see we're good but as soon as it's any special teams situation we're hot garbage. We're like what 7% on the PP now? Take Cameron out anyone looking to be a PP coach? Gotta be better than Cameron, simple play to gain zone entry, short pass in or dump in cross ice with speed depending on the defensive coverage. One body aggressive in front of the net cycle to an open Dman or Forward, shoot in and two forwards press in towards the net for any rebounds and to support the 3rd guy in, Dmen clean up any loose pucks thrown out towards the line. Reinforce shooting and hitting the net.

What good would that do? Of course Treliving will stick up for the guy he hand-picked for the job. Throw in some references to "the process" and how the team is still adjusting, that they have to be better, and there's your press conference.

The only thing to be done is fire him and move on.

But we were up one with the game in control.

Oh well, no crying over spilled milk.

Glue Gun's PP in Vancouver was 26th or something brutal too. It's not gonna matter if Cameron gets fired.

I would kill for the 26th ranked powerplay right now

Monahan hasn't been great, but Bennett-Monahan is still a good pairing. I would move Bennett to centre and put someone who drives play, like Frolik at right wing to get the line going. Move Shinkaruk up to the Backlund line and shrink the rotation down to nine guys. Basically:

Monahan-Bennett-Frolik
Tkachuk-Backlund-Shinkaruk
Ferland-Stajan-Hathaway

It will if they actually get a guy who knows Powerplays... how do you learn if you don't have someone with that specialty?

We really weren't. The Flames were on their heels ever since Backlund scored. And they are getting crushed in shot attempts.

They scored one and were satisfied.

We should move Monahan to wing, Brodie to centre, Elliott to defence, and Johnny to goalie! IT'S SO CRAZY IT MIGHT WORK!
