Why settle for 3.5, when you could go all out with 5 1/4?

Beats are pretty bad, though... Can't imagine they were worth the $58 to begin with.

I've had good success with Monster and these are on sale for $50. Wireless.

http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/...5dbbd2f067en02

Same price with amazon if you prefer shopping with them.

$40 off and they come in black too.

Rona has all online orders 20 per cent off for today only. I just ordered a water heater and saved a bunch of cash.

I'm amazed there is such a demand for headphones? When do you use them? Are they mostly for the transit user? I'll throw a cheap set on while I mow the grass but that about it.

^At the office I have HD598SE's on for at least 3 hours per day playing music while I work. When I walk home, I have a set in my ears playing whatever podcast I'm listening to. If I'm shopping at Safeway, about 1/3 of the time I'm listening to whatever I was listening to in the car on the drive there. If I'm working out, I'm listening to music. If I'm skiing, same thing, although I no longer use headphones for that.

I'd guess I spend like 20% of my waking life with headphones on, and I always buy them on this weekend because there's generally a wide selection on deep discount. I bought two pairs this year.

Monster is good, similar market to Beats but better made products. These are a step up and not in the price range but are one of the better sets of sweat-proof bluetooth phones I've heard (just ignore the Ronaldo branding).

Yeah I don't use transit for commuting but I fly pretty regularly and you have to have headphones for that.

I also use them in the summer a lot. When I'm sitting outside enjoying the weather, pretty much anytime I read etc.

Honestly given how they are relatively inexpensive and last several years, it is totally worth it to me even if I don't use them every day.

5 1/4 is all out? I remember toting one of these way back in the day. Fit nicely in a binder.

I bought this one out of the States. It is WAAAY cheaper on Amazon.com, It is $18 right now if you can get it there.

It has the bigger battery and a charger and works fantastic. It is incredibly bright and sturdy enough that if you wanted to use it as a weapon you could. I was amazed at the quality given the cost. I was skeptical but willing to throw away the $20 if it was no good but was very happy. The battery seemed to last forever as well.

edit: if you are still yyx in LAX then the US one would work.

They sure were better than the cassette recorder.

Same thing happened to me when I ordered the PS4 from Amazon. Ordered on Wed night at 10pm, they said Dec 1 delivery, but when I got home from work on Friday, there it was. I was stunned.

The HD598 special editions are among the top purchases I have ever made. The only two that top it in value are my car,(which I have had for 13 years and has cost me very little in maintenance, gets great gas mileage) and my electric toothbrush

I want to buy another set just out of fear that they would stop making them or that, god forbid, something should ever happen to this pair.

My advice to anyone would be to buy a pair if they ever get down near that 100-120 dollar sale price. Hell, I'd gladly pay 200 for these, knowing what I know now.

They're probably the best headphones I've ever bought for the price, yeah. Unfortunately they can't be used anywhere outside of my office, basically, because of the open backs; I don't really want other people hearing what I'm listening to and neither do they.

The 598Cs are supposed to be delivered today, I shall post a report when they arrive.

Wow....Good ol Canadian surcharge. Less than $20 in the States, almost $80 in Canada.....

BTW, what makes a flashlight "tactical"?

PS4 controllers at around $45-$50, so picked up one. Nothing special really but sure beats $75-$80!

Two parter question:

Just bought a PS4 Pro, anyone tried the PSVR, is it worth getting?

If yes, where to get one as they seem sold out everywhere (looing at the bundle with the move controllers/wands).

I'm not enamored by it, but if you are interested in PSVR, go for it. I'm sure if you have it, everyone will ask about it when they visit you.

Sold out?

Amazon has it $550

I've seen it as Walmart, but weirdly, it's not listed on their website. Maybe consider walking in and see if you can buy it?
Bestbuy has it on their site, but you have to go through weird hoops and hurdles to find it.

It also says available online and in store.

Thanks for the suggestions but I'm looking for the bundle which typically sells at Best Buy for $700 but is unavailable and on Amazon it's over $900 or $725USD on that site.
