We need a top line that can carry the team, a line of Backlund, Frolik, Johnny Gaudreau could work. Backund has the ability to open time and space for Johnny to work his magic. I think the problems we are seeing on the top line are good indications we might need another approach.

Maybe if u just stat watch but all his goals have been easy tap ins and one shot from the slot. Its no coincidence he has no assists

He's still young and learning. He needs to play through this and he'll become a better player as a result.

Gaudreau hasn't been much better, but he is the goldenboy for many so they have to blame Monahan for all of the struggles.

Everyone riding Monahan on this thread and in this forum needs to chill. We were blessed to have the most notorious slow starter in the league for the past decade, Jarome Iginla. Sometimes your best players can start slow, especially one who is coming off of an injury.

People... easy to forget, not so much to forgive.
